I went back on finasteride.
Before reading, please take into account that everyones body chemistry is different, and that as far as we know there are 2 different types of PFS.
I am not responsible if you decide to follow me blindly and end up in an even worse state,
you have been warned.
That being said here's what happened.
For the first couple of days I actually felt a lot better, I noticed my voice was deeper and my digestion was improved. I had a sore throat and phlegm build up which I assume was my immune system kicking back in, all of that with an improved libido to boot. I was feeling great... but after that I started returning to my typical PFS state.
I'm not quite sure what exactly happened but I think it might have to do with the accumulation of finasteride in my system making my DHT levels go down TOO low.
This whole thing is very confusing. The closest thing I can find that someone else did was this thread:
A new protocol I have been experimenting with, it can be used for both accutane and PFS sufferers
The guy was using high-dose zinc, and felt good and also said finasteride could be used instead but he never tried it himself.
He has a new site where he updates his protocol to include saw palmetto and soy, located here:
Cure PFS and Accutane Side Effects
Other than that all this stuff is going over my head. I'm going to try and wait for my DHT levels to rise again and see if I feel any better when or if my body hits the DHT sweet spot.
