The longer I go on zero vitA diet, the better things are getting. My recent water fast really jump started things for me, and the zero vitA refeed is doing great things.

Definitely try some fasting, even short ones and eliminate all carotenoid and retinol foods, reports are showing that 1-6 months might be needed, then you can get less restrictive, but you really need to dump the 1000's of mg of accutane that was stored in liver and fat tissues.
Just realised all this cheese ive been eating has a lot of a vitamin A in it.

I am pretty lean as it is - I wonder how much vitamin A i'm really storing. I guess body fat doesn't directly equal liver fat stores though...

What i will be really curious about is to see your next hair test to see if your copper has gone up. If the liver is all about having copper or having vitamin A, well we can see what the body is doing (i.e. you and i went on accutane and both have low copper. in fact despite being a slow in ur last test, your copper was still low)

Interesting thing has been happening lately since increasing my calcium:

I've been still having the same smoothie for breakfast, but for lunch ive been having 2 slices of white bread + a thick slice of cheddar cheese (for the calcium), and adding a slice of cheddar cheese to my dinners (meat rice broccoli + cheese). I'm also going through a 6 year breakup so maybe that is a factor also but;

I seem to be getting more pimples than i have been. I've got very few since my second round of accutane, but now i'm getting a few. Unfortunately my dry eyes remain. My scalp feels good though, and my hair seems to be less dry and maybe feels (?) thicker.

I don't really know what to make of this. I imagine the cheese, being high in calcium, might be increasing my copper. But cheese also has vitamin A. MAybe the overall net effect though is an increase in copper and a decrease in vitamin A stores, since the extra copper retention is forcing some A out.

Or it could just be stress from the break up.

Or it could just be an inability to digest the cheese piling up (this has been a few months now of cheese/calcium increase). It would suck if this is the case, because the cheese toasties are a delicious and affordable way to up my calcium intake. But its not worth it if i go back to pre-accutane level acne.

Still havent hair tested, hoping to do that early in the new year.

I've been taking 500mg malic acid supps x3 a day (or been trying to, sometimes forget) for a week now, planning a liver flush tonight.

dairy does the same thing to my skin, especially if I really pile it on after a long period of time. also going through a breakup, that can cause some issues, I imagine a 6 year breakup will take some time to recover. good luck brother

Have you tried cottage/fetta cheese for calcium instead of cheddar?
Honestly its the best cheese for me when it comes down to digestion acne and such.
Especially if you can get it from local farmers market.

I'll have to give it a try, thanks for the tip. What do you eat it with?

Okay did my first liver flush last night. @Orion i did the david wolfe one you recommended. Didnt follow the diet recs though, just my normal diet.

Had a peak in the toilet bowl after my bowel movement this morning... Lots of little yellow stones and some big green ones. Weird stuff.

I actually felt okay doing it. The epsom salt water tasted disgusting, but tolerable since i chased it down with some OJ. Only felt weird once (kind of lightheaded) this morning, but it seems like it was only in passing.

A lot of what felt like "vomiting out of my ass". Lots of water gushing going on down there. No bad smells really though. Hopefully my stomachache settles down after today

Doing them every 2 weeks. 250ml olive oil with 250ml Apple juice, dont like using grapefruit, I take 800mg malic acid daily for the week before. I also fast about 6-12hrs before beginning the protocol at 6pm. 60grams of epsom in 700ml water divided into 4 servings.

Yep I hate the epsom salt drink, but it is easy enough to get down.

They get much easier each time you do one, the ass vomiting lessens :) this weekend coming will be number 17 for me.

Damn nice man.

Are you still passing lots of stones? Has it decreased?

@Helen this makes me wonder if theres a relationship between vitamin a and b12 as well? Since b12 is also stored in the liver

Its maybe stupid what im goin to ask but i just made a liver flush too and its weird to me to think that a big ball like what i just expelled is coming from my liver. Id this something real or is just olive oil?

The critics of the liver flush say that the stones are just olive oil and epsom or something, but everyone who does a lot of them seems to expell less and less stones each time until none. But that doesnt make sense under the critics theory

Btw ive got massively sunburnt the other day at the beach, no one else was. Only stayed for a few hrs in the morning. I wonder if i was burnt so badly due to the flush getting some accutane back out into my system from my liver @Orion

Yep there has been lots of recent talk that retinol stored in the skin is part of the cause for sun burns, skin cancer. So sun exposure while flushing it out of the liver could be an issue until you completely detox.
