If so, do you have the following defect?

rs10503019 18 55454377 AA

You can search your raw data for this, ie the text file you download from 23andme.

It's a defect which results in problems metabolising bile acids.

109 ATP8B1 rs10503019 15.06 A 100 0 564.010624

A allele is the risk Allele.

More info here;

MalaCards: Search Human Diseases - ATP8B1

Would be interesting to know peoples results on this! (I'm AA, so I have this defect, which if you look at the link above is associated with cholestasis and related disorders)

23andme is not a company run by trustworthy people I don't understand why anyone above a room-temperature IQ would pay lots of money to give Google your genetic material and get back inaccurate results

I have never done a 23 and me but I have read about it and other genetic testing from a company called GENELD

https://www.admdiag.com/

Actually I just tried getting a job with GENELD recently. It's kinda of a shady idea but this company hires people "who have relationships with doctor officers" to ask the lead physician of the office if they would be willing to "prescribe" the companies genetic testing kits to their patients. The sales pitch was that GENELD claims to have "partnered" with health insurance companies who have agreed to cover the cost of the genetic testing kits because in the long run investing money now to prevent certain diseases will be cheeper than paying to treat them later. This specific sales pitch went along with their kits that test for genetic predisposition to certain types of cancers. The idea being that if you know you are genetically predisposed to lets sale colon cancer who would not only do screening tests earlier in life to catch it early but you would live healthier to decrease chances of getting it.

It seemed like a cool job because GENELD hires independent contractors who would earn commission off of each test kit prescribed at the contract (Dr, Office) that you set up and you could try to score contracts with as many Dr. Officers as possible being your own boss combined with the income potential because you could in theory travel around the country and get as many contracts as you could. Being on disability and all I have time to do something like this. So I made brochures and went to a few doctor offices and LMFAO it caused complete havoc. One doctor threatened to call the police on me, one doctor laughed in my face and it was really just pretty funny seeing their reactions. I went to my primary care doctor who did have a serious conversation with me about it and what he said was it would be medical malpractice for me to prescribe "a genetic testing" kit that is not FDA approved and that I did not learn in medical school that the results would be accurate. He could not explain though why the results would be inaccurate simply because its not FDA approved and because he did not learn in medical school 15 years ago before these tests were even around why they are not accurate.

I agree with your point about not wanting your genetic info out their in the hands of 23 and me. There is an easy and practical solution though and it's exactly what I will do if I have one of these tests done. Give the company a fake profile, fake name fake everything and pay with a gift card that also has fake info attached to it. This way 23 and me will have your DNA in their date base but attached to a fake person. What now? the info is useless what are they going to do with it....

Anyway, why are you saying that 23 and me tests are not accurate ? I am not arguing it's just a lot of people say this and I have never received an answer as to why there is any creditable reason to question the results. Also I am anti establishment as it gets. So I understand how much money is invested into ensuring that the government would do everything in their power to not allow a genetic testing kit from GENELD to get FDA approved as a screening test knowing how much money their special interest groups donate into our political system who profit off of treating the cancers in more advanced stages rather than catching them early.

You can give them fake info but as soon as enough relatives take a test it's trivial to deduce your actual identity )

nah they will just think I have a long lost brother and his last name is mine or my last name is his. Or my relatives can also give them fake info. It's about us getting our results that we know belong to us. Give them fake info so their records are thrown off

Their results are correct as far as i know, probably same as other companies doing this type of testing. Thing is they are incomplete cause 23andme omitted lots of valuable snips in their last chips, they used to report lots more of the tested snips, but since few yrs already they discontinue this after FDA took lead.

Im searching for private independent genetics analysis. If not possible, I will probably have no choice but to submit my DNA but it will be for genetics counseling when Im gonna have children. Im pretty sure those facilities are more accurate BUT then all my DNA will be on record.

Then again it doesnt matter. A conservative estimate is 50% of peoples DNA is distorted in some way, but Im willing to do something about it.

So nobody else has done a 23andme?
So what you want us to just jump into bed and offer our genetics to with whoever shows up with a claim, no investigation, no nothing? Just complete imbecilic naivety? "Fin will halt your hairloss and regrow what you've lost. No side-effects, it's a miracle drug." Sounds good sign me up.

People who do that are, in the words of Mark Zuckerberg, "dumbfucks." You know the two who run Google, you know the company that wants all of your information, 23andme was started by the ex-wife of one of them. And here is her sister ceo of Youtube: Susan Wojcicki - Wikipedia

And YouTube recently deleted videos about what 23andme is doing though they were uploaded nearly a decade ago.

Well you don't know so that's not very far is it.

23andme regularly puts "15% Subsaharan African" in White people's results to make them believe they are part black and if they're doing that who knows what else they're doing. What good is a DNA testing company if it's accuracy is unreliable and they are purposely manipulating results to change your political leanings. That shows they view their customers as suckers and the tests aren't cheap either so why would you give them money and your dna so they can fuck you further. There's no curing that level of stupid, some people are just determined to be slaves and to give all their money to their future slave master until that happens. Please do the rest of us a favor and just toss it out the car window next time at least you won't be empowering these evil companies further.

Mario Vitali used these tests to recover/improve himself. I know @Helen thinks he's years behind, but I still scroll through his solvepfs.com thread sometimes to gather ideas. He just changes his protocol constantly. Have a look:

SolvePFS

His core sups were: Tudca, metafolin, B's, Resveratrol, Taurine, Selenium and vitamin C, but like I said, it changed a lot. Lots of focus on methylation.

What's he taking at the moment? I can't get onto SolvePFS. I know he alway included vitamin k2 in the past

He took K2 if he didn’t get in sufficient vitamin K from veggies. Not sure what he’s on right now. Thread is lively until 2017.

Well Helen May think he’s way behind but Mario has been saying the liver was a huge problem for a loooong time, and what do you know suddenly recently there’s been a lot of talk about fatty liver etc on here.

liver problem was described in 2010. for POIS PFS.

vagus nerv was also described then. Collected the money on poiscenter.com and that money was given to Dr Komisaruk to study vagus nerve.

we collected our own money 50k.

LIver is not recent. the whole electrolytes protocol was posted toward the liver almost 10 years ago.

And pyroluria treatment.

what is there to think about if finasteride blocks 5 beta reductase which makes bile acids,

all of this explained in electrolytes protocol from the minute this forum started.

Mario himself is on zinc finger protocol, which is pyroluria treatment. which also was described from the start of this forum, and in 1958 originally))

As far as methylation protocol, Mario followed droid's thread on propecia help and who did some tests with glutathione and methylation cycle.

and thus whole methylation things started on propecia help/ Mario did not start it, droid did on propeciahelp/

We cured POIS many times by following methylation protocol way before that on poiscenter.com and nakedscientists.

and by killing SIBO. also we found induction of IDO, and other problem and vagus nerve. and acetylcholine and everything else.

which tons of protocols were created that help people now and quantum keeps helping new people.

which all these ideas are heavily used now to get rid of all symptoms. of POIS etc.

with basically describing all kinds of different types of POIS. etc.

Nana1 , collected all this info and described mechanism of POIS also. and also linked it to viral infection.

He's probably still taking things along these lines;

Unfolded Protein Response and A Possible Treatment for CFS

no he is not taking any of this. he is taking pyroluria treatment

as I said low Sam-e is because PEMT and GNMT takes it away. that is why increasing methylation did not do anything for them in the end.

he is an obivous slow oxidizer which is why he is helped by k2. which is not a problem in CFS

slow oxidizers actually have high e coli which makes tons of k2. and fast oxidizers have low e coli ,since they dont need k2.

since slow oxidziers have calcium activation problem with brain copper TOXICITY.

or gaba overexpression. or infection in the gut activatiing phospholipase A2
