OKAY:

I have FINALLY figured this shit out.

So what I have done, is embarked on Licorice Tea (I know you're all going to say it lowers Test and is highly estrogenic),

BUT...

It MIMICS what Cyproheptadine does to me on the withdrawal.... SO I assume my issue really is LOW CORTISOL/Aldosterone.... Because how the F*** can licorice help as much as Cypro does, 3 days later....Maybe my issue all along is cortisol/aldosterone?

The way I can tell is very obvious.

It's all got to do with PUMPS in the gym, and also PSSD symptoms. For example, after having licorice tea I have PUMPS again in the gym, can hold water/salt, and am not pissing like crazy. All my emotions are back online, I can FEEL things again. All the exact same feelings as when I get that rebound from cypro 3 days after a single dose.

So surely there's something else that can INCREASE my aldosterone like licorice?! Surely there is another herb or way to RAISE aldosterone without using licorice?!!?

@Helen
Why don't you look into hydrocortisone or Cortef (Hydrocortisone Tablet): Side Effects, Interactions, Warning, Dosage & Uses??

Does coffee make you feel better?

I don't drink coffee regularly, but when I do, it always gives me tonnes of energy. I should probably try it to see if it has any positive effects on the 1A receptor or cortisol.
It does. That's why I'm asking.

The densities of cortical 5 HT1 and 5 HT2 serotonergic receptors are increased by 26–30%. Densities of cortical muscarinic and nicotinic receptors are increased by 40–50%. The density of cortical benzodiazepine-binding sites associated with GABAA receptors is increased by 65%, and the affinity appears slightly decreased.

Just chiming in as I'm CERTAIN licorice root added in to my SJW experiments has given me solid progress.

Before this it REALLY didn't - made me WILDLY suicidal. After the RU run or alongside the SJW it's doing something I think. And caffeine definitely gives me a more refined 'lift' than it did, in amounts of a cup of tea or coffee etc. A full scoop of pre-workout send me VERY jittery.

I'm going to tinker with adrenal glandulars or maybe even just licorice root as per champstar on swole source (4:1 extract tea, 3 cups Sat/Sun) or perhaps even just 450mg Sat/Sun. Lord knows, but improvements have been had in short order. And I'm excited since this: ggggg123 (Licorice Root)

Yeah I think the licorice has defiintely helped me healing journey.

My strength in the gym is like when I was 17. Pumps back, and NO DIZZINESS, no salt cravings. This is amazing.

I have also been on Cyproheptadine now at 2mg for the past 4 nights and its been amazing too. Feelings come back and PSSD is literally gone. I want to make this last for a long time now and avoid things that fu** me up like supplementing Zinc.

Taurine in the background and Artichoke to protect liver too.

I've also been using my strong Cistanche extract, which, undeniably has a positive effect on my Androgen status.

I am way too hesitant to try Cortex, because I don;'t see that as sustainable!? Unless, it somehow does something that leaves me better off without it?

Don’t waste your time.

I must say that the combination of Cyproheptadine at 1-2mg per night, and plenty of sugar, licorice tea every now and then and Cistanche, has really really helped me.

I feel stronger in the gym, and libido is coming back like when I was younger.

I feel diabetic on Cyproheptadine !! It's making me never feel full lol.

Sorry if this was already mentioned

Does licorice increase or decrease cortisol ?

I’m working on making the final plans for my RU cycle that I plan on starting on September 1st. I am going to be doing several different experiments with it seeing that I have a ton of it.

My first experiment I’m leaning towards taking 200mg of ru for three days while taking something that lowers cortisol before during and after the cycle. I have reason to believe that release of cortisol during and after my first 50mg RU cycle brought me back to square one. If I’m right about this perhaps chronically higher than normal levels and release of cortisol is to blame for getting PFS and not recovering. In other words my GR receptors need a break from it which is why I did so good on RU at first. To test this the most logical thing to do is to lower it.

Would licorice do this?

I think I answered my own question

The active metabolites in licorice extract which are glycyrrhizic acid and glycyrrhetic acid can lead to a syndrome known as apparent mineralocorticoid excess [Stewart et al. 1987]. These side effects arise from the inhibition of the enzyme 11-ß-HSD and subsequent increase in the activity of cortisol. This effect is physiologically important because cortisol binds as avidly as aldosterone to the mineralocorticoid receptor

Licorice abuse: time to send a warning message

It’s inhibiting 11-b-HSD resulting in increase of cortisol....

@Helen

Is it possible for cells to get stuck in a high potassium state when hormones are low?
And could this lead to thiamine depletion because there is very high sugar oxidation inside the cell (high intracellular CO2).
So no thiamine -> no NADPH -> AR/GR get upregulated to the max to try to tank the potassium.

Can a context like this exist or there is a flaw in my logic?

In the case of glucocorticoid resistance, the receptors should be underregulated and not sensitive... what should be done?
