Whats your opinion on Potassium as a supplement or via food?
I often read about how much higer potassium intake was in early days compared to today.
There are also some Bodybuilding forums (esp. taeian may be known for ~ULTIMATE Hair Regrowth Protocol) which suggest a 5-8g intake of potassium. together with some grams of himalayan salt.
They are sipping tomatojuice like peaters do milk and OJ.
What would a higher intake do though?
Would it increase intracellular potassium -> increase thyroid -> increase metabolism ?
Im confused how supplemental minerals react on cells. Somewhere I read that suppl. Potassium would lower cellular potassium. But this would slow the metabolism right? That would be kind of the opposite of whats expected.
