@Scenes , can you comment further on what gbold just said, please?

Your PFS is gone?

Also, how is your hair? (I remember you also had increased shedding on thyroid)

Yeah pfs not my issue anymore - at least while I’m on cysteine and copper. Not willing to come off just yet and see if I’m entirely balanced/cured. Been about 2 weeks. I was already doing well before cysteine but still had issues with erection quality - cysteine within a day or two just fixed it like it was never a problem.

Still planning to add histidine and see how it affects me, and also potentially zinc but that has always been bad news for me...we’ll see.

I want to fix my hair next, and this zinc finger theory seems a viable pathway to do it, just got to find the balance.

Anyone in australia have a link to where I can get histidine? No one ships it to Aus and no one internally sells it or has it in stock...feels like a conspiracy or something haha.

Man thats great to hear!! How long did you have PFS for?

BTW... have you checked iherb?

I got this from them recently:

Paradise Herbs, L-Carnosine, 60 Veggie Caps

Not histidine exactly, but carnosine (its actually alanine + histidine). Gbold recommended it for candida issues

Great to hear! What amounts are you taking? Why cysteine and copper specifically, did you just try adding in the zinc finger components one by one, or is there a reason you have started with those based on bloods or your specific sides?

Where are the posts he said about candida and histidine again? I can’t see them in this thread. What were the key points?

Pfs for years but mucked around with androgens over the journey which masked things and possibly made other things worse.

2mg copper, 500mg cysteine.

I'm fast oxidizer with TE and PE. I'm taking minerals mentioned by @gbolduev, do not take cysteine but recently I started taking methionine and it is a real game changer for me. I think that it is far to early to give a firm testimonial, but it may be helpful in further research. Since I added methionine, it definitely lowered my really bad PE (typicall 3 seconds man :/ ), hair shed is definitely stopped or way decreased, finally I don't have that shitty oily skin on my forehead and don't have such alcohol intolerance.

@TubZy
Super happy for your improvements, congrats!
Just one question, are you following a specific diet or you do eat what ever you feel?

I mentioned in fast oxidizer, methionine should and can be used for cysteine. since cysteine is made from it

For fast oxidizer= Endo-met SBF Formula (90 Tablets)

for slow oxidizer= Endo-met Megapan (90 Tablets)

Check out the ingredients.

@mattyb

Just found some soviet research on radiation and what they used for Chernobyl.

Treatment; Histidine, tryptophan. vitamins B1, B6, Р, dibazol

Lol this is what I used against my cancer basically. I increased tryptophan levels by using IDO ihibitors. plus I was taking tons of histidine. and catalitic triad.

And the funny thing, that red light that they talk about it over at Ray Peat forum. Increased my tumors by 2-3 fold. It was crazy. I could not understand what was happening. May be it was causing even more depletion of tryptophan and histidine

By the way , there is a russian guy Bolotov, who cured hundreds of thousand people from cancer , and his main ingredient was tryptophan.
Could you write me web address of this site where you found this research ? I know russian language, and would like to see other surveys, since russian always had a bit diffrent attitude to healt. BTW Best example of they idea for me is Picamilion.

That is freaking amazing, happy for you.

I know you were on Tyromix a while back, and I think you and I had the same reactions to it. Felt amazing on it, but hair may have been deteriorating faster - correct?

There are some guys who do better hair-wise on Tyromix, and some who do worse (you and I). Perhaps whatever helps you in the hair department, will help me, and vice versa. Let's keep everyone updated here with progress, please. Gbolduev is definitely onto something with this Zing Finger Theory.

I am ordering Histidine HCL powder (250g worth, going all in), Cysteine HCL powder, and Taurine powder (anyone still using this.. TubZy?)

P.S - Question for Gbolduev and others: How does Inositol play into the Zing Finger Theory; if at all? It is highly touted around the internet as an 'anti-alopecia vitamin' It has documented studies showing it to improve insulin resistance, and a bunch of other things. There are plenty of anecdotal reports as well (mostly women) using it to combat hair loss from PCOS, and whatnot. Wanted to get your thoughts on this, possibly adding it into the protocol?

EDIT: Interestingly, I just noticed 'Inositol' is an ingredient in a supplement gbold recommended on here for slow oxidizers. Endo-met Megapan (90 Tablets) this may or may not mean anything though.. an answer on Inositol would still be appreciated. :)

My order is almost ready, wondering if I could/should add anything:

Few questions for @gbolduev

1) for a fast oxidizer who experienced shedding from megadosing B5, should they take the Endo-met Fast oxidizer supplement + histidine hcl?

2) my skin clears up (less acne) when I’m taking a tbsp of ACV with honey every morning. Is there an equivalent of this that you would recommend, since you are against acv? Not sure if malic acid would work..
