ZINC FINGER THEORY DISCUSSION for PFS - 2 cases

Yeah, I'm still doing good. Cysteine is the big gun for me though, I missed histidine the past two days and everything is still good.

I started on histidine only in the beginning and didn't notice the major benefits until after adding in cysteine. The only two things that I still need improvement is energy and better sleep. The one thing histidine does help with is digestion though for sure.

I have not tried adding anything else in yet, hoefully my aminoblend should be here today.

@TubZy

Liver: Anti-thyroid, Vit A, Copper

Read this thread. this guy took, thyroid. and it did nothing for him until he took cysteine. Which we discussed with @joekool since cysteine along with histidine is needed for D1 enzyme. so when there is little glutathione RT3 is made

It is kind of weird but the experience of this guy is a complete opposite of Ray Peat views.

N-Acetylcysteine Administration Prevents Nonthyroidal Illness Syndrome in Patients With Acute Myocardial Infarction: A Randomized Clinical Trial (PDF Download Available)

Interesting, that is the total opposite. It is odd though because a few others like @Scenes mentioned cysteine killed metabolism, and hair started to shed

@TubZy I don't like the way this is doing. If this is not about histidine. then I don't know how good it is for people to even try it. zinc finger could be upregulated.

This guy is taking methionine. May be that is what is helping him. I keep telling you guyus about, but all you see is histidine and cysteine.

We need to see metabolism start on some parts of zinc finger and we dont' see it. SO no reason for others to try this until we figure it out.

Yeah, you did good on cysteine and histidine. But you don't know if this would stick yet. Then people will try this and make themselves worse and then we need to figure out what to do. I don't like it. We need to try this ourselves first and then make a protocol.

So far I don't like the way histidine cysteine acting really.

Fair enough, you are right I don't know if it will. I just assumed if it made me feel better than that should correlate with downregulated zinc finger, you should also give it a shot and see how you feel to see what you think is going on since you have blood and hair test done already

Dude you are taking it now, not me. just measure the temps on it.

I think it would be better to gather testing groups, say 16 people split into 4 groups. One group takes histidine only, another takes cystein and histidine, another histidine + copper etc. See what the results tell us. the human body is too complicated to go off of knowledge in my opinion because there are things science still has not discovered. What if Histidine interacts with copper in a way that has never been recorded in scientific history?

the only true information can come from people actually testing every variation.

Mate, i have cold hands and feet constantly but this symptom persists 10+ years and I have pfs for 2.5 years. Had great personality recovery during fasting, some other ways with herbs, but temporarily always. Would you think I need to solve this cold hand and feet problem to recover pfs or is it possible without it.

my TSH is 2, FT3 is on the low end of the scale. Antibodies are low too.

Will tell you nothing if you do not test before. How would you know why it works for one and not for another?

Some people take fin and do not get PFS. A good question is to figure out why and who is more sensitive. Your coldness, most likely slow metabolism, was maybe a symptom linked to what made you sensitive. So even if you had this before, you should aim at having a better metabolism and all will get better together....

Had great personality recovery during fasting
I suspect that it means something has to do with cortisol.... My CFS is almost gone with only 1 week fasting... And I know again what means "between meals"!

There was a split with topics, to make one reserved for the analysis that have been recommended by gbolduev before choosing a protocol. For the case of up-regulated and down-regulated...
What to test, for zinc finger

@gbolduev

temps mean nothing with PFS IMO since everything constantly fluctuates. People on RP who have PFS take temps all the time like Slader and Mayweather, didn't really do much. You don't need to take temps when your feet and hands are ice cold to realize your metabolism is low.

Bud, take the temp. then take cysteine, and take the temp again.

I don't have anything to take temp with that is why I asked you, I never said my metabolism slowed from cysteine anyways I was just asking lol

oh, I see. I guess a need to buy a thermometer for you for Christmas. It is always good to have I also have the blood pressure device, very useful to see everything when you take stuff.

What’s the consensus on probiotica around here? More specifically; L-reuteri. Useful?

Thinking I might add it to boost digestion and T-levels.

Sounds good lol. Can you clarify the AI part though. Are you talking about a pharm grade AI like letrozole or just any AI like zinc for example? When you talked about thyroid + AI. This isn't for my particular benefit but for most people reading this that are interested

Aren’t all the signs of metabolism fairly obvious without measuring temps? Digestion, sleep, warm hands/feet etc...
