    Gbolduevs Mineral Protocol for PFS

I think some people could stand to be a little more patient around here. Trying to “bait” gbold and badger him about protocols isn’t really cool, IMO. Let the dude post when he feels like posting. We’ve all been dealing with this for a while and it probably won’t hurt any of us to wait a bit longer.

Brainstorming & Ideas (PFS - Gbol)

Do you still think it is wise for someone with PSSD or PFS to take Thorne Extra Nutrients, or should I take the individual minerals that you will outline in your post next week? I wasn't sure if the methylation component was still important in your mind. Do you still plan on testing an SSRI in...

Brainstorming & Ideas (PFS - Gbol)

Gbolduev browses almost every day. I'm sure he's extremely busy. He'll post when he has time.

Goose PFS (Saw palmetto) log- TEI

Glad to hear you are feeling better man. I'll be really curious to see how the mini cycles play out for you, as it's looking like that's the way we'll need to go in the future.

Brainstorming & Ideas (PFS - Gbol)

+1 very well said. I allowed myself to get a little too excited about the anti-progestin angle. As Tubzy said it is one of the most promising things we've seen in years but I think it will end up being one tool in a much larger toolbox, if you will. Really looking forward to hearing how you...

    Forum Reorganization

Thanks Canari. I didn't mean to overwrite many of the changes you made but I do want to let you know that they were definitely a step up from how we originally had things configured :D

    Forum Reorganization

Hi Everyone, A few of us just finished reorganizing the forum layout. We are hoping this will help with the confusion of having too many sub-forums etc. The goal was to display as much of the forum structure as possible on the front page, excluding everything under the Human Body forum (there...

    RU Trials continued

You told me on RP that you thought fasting followed by methylation would be good for someone with PSSD like me. Is this still true?

    RU Trials continued

Are any of the people that are about to do an RU trial planning on taking an anti-prolactin during and/or after their cycle?

The official Thank You to Gbolduev Thread

A big thanks to gbolduev. His theory lines up so well with things we had been discussing over on the PSSD forum for months. I truly hope we can make great strides over the next few years.

Guys, first and final warning. Stop the arguing or take it to PM's.

    14 day water fast

I'm really excited to see what happens with you and @Orion here. Both of you have PFS, correct? Are your symptoms still fairly severe? I plan on starting with a long fast, possibly followed by methylation. Have you looked into something like Thorne Extra for after the fast?

    Namaste

Thank you Canari. I appreciate the tone of optimism in your posts. I saw that you mentioned Somatic Experiencing somewhere else on this forum. I happen to live near the SE Institute and see a therapist who uses a similar modality. I really enjoy the work we do together, as it is very different...

    Namaste

Hi Jesse - I have yet to get into a good yoga practice. Interestingly enough, I've read multiple studies that point to yoga as the best treatment for issues such as CFS. My guess is that it does more for reprogramming the HPA and nervous system than most other modalities. What type of yoga do...

    Namaste

Hi everyone. I thought I'd post my story in case it helps anyone else. I was put on SSRI antidepressants by the age of 13. At the time I was being treated for OCD. Throughout adolescence I had libido and was able to masturbate/orgasm. I never developed a sex drive or feelings of sexuality...

    Estradiol+DHT relieves PSSD in rats

Yup, my point was not to suggest this as a potential remedy that people try. It's clear through gbold's comments that estradiol+DHT just acts as a band-aid. I think there is much to learn by analyzing the results of this study, though.

    Estradiol+DHT relieves PSSD in rats

I know this topic technically belongs in the studies sub-forum but I thought I'd post it here for more visibility. In late 2014 a study was published showing a complete relief of PSSD symptoms in rats treated with an antidepressant at birth. To date, this is the only journal reference I can find...

What is your exercise regimen like?

I live in the mountains so it's usually easy for me to get the exercise I need. In the winter I am usually skiing almost every weekend, while in the summer I do a few mountain bike trips per week. I occasionally do long hikes as well. I've recently joined a rock climbing gym and will be...
