Hey guys,
I have been experimenting with juicing in my log if you noticed until I get my TEI results back. I wanted to open up a discussion thread for juicing particularly certain combinations and veggies and/or fruits. I think juicing gets a bad reputation since it is usually pushed by vegans. I'm currently juicing right now while also eating a high protein diet and definitely notice an increase in energy and overall being, skin etc.
This is not a protocol or a replacement for anything but more or less just a lifestyle change that can be supportive since it is loaded with raw electrolytes, minerals, vitamins, live enzymes (most important IMO) and it is predigested so even if your digestion is screwed up a large amount of the substances will still absorb since your body doesn't have to do any work to break it down. Currently, I have been juicing carrots, beets, spinach, apple, cucumber and I'm starting work back in celery again given its tremendous health benefits. The vegetables I started with mainly were derived from the electrolytes protocol. I think juicing overall can help with really any condition while not really being harmful per say (excluding juicing large amounts of veggies that contain goitrogens) including PFS and even immune issues. I haven't noticed anything negative about it so far although I'm still experimenting with different things.
You load up with all these electrolytes and minerals and force the body to take it in, but at the same time the body can regulate it unlike certain supplements. Since you are juicing foods everything stays in balance then you eat a high protein diet to get the aminos in. Since the foods you are juicing are raw and if you consume it right away you are most likely receiving 95%+ of the food value as to cooking where you would be losing many of the enzymes.
For example, many people here struggle with mono/EBV including me either from PFS or just from another preexisting issue where the immune system or metabolism weakened.

Apigenin, a flavonoid largely found in celery and parsley was shown to inhibit EBV specifically reactivation. The benefit of juicing in this scenario is you would be able to get loads of it since you can extract all of it out of the juice rather to be limited by the fiber content. This is just one example, but components in ginger do the same as well and grapes etc.
Inhibition of Epstein-Barr virus reactivation by the flavonoid apigenin
Anyways, I wanted this thread to be open for discussion in terms of studies, personal experiences, certain combinations etc. given that the feedback I have received so far was positive, worth making a bigger thread to talk about it.
