@Helen What moves Ca and Mg on hairtest? @m_arch I was taking about ~400-500mg elemental Mg from MgCl, seems to have jumped up the test..
Id imagine slowing down metabolism increases ca and mg. And taking ca and mg seems to slow it down...

Carnitine carries fat into mito. if you have no carnitine, cortisol will rise, since you will not be able to burn fat)) and you will need sugar)) As in this study we see, that carnitine blocked the receptor , but increased the zinc finger ))

It is best not to take carnitine but to make it. and him taking B2 will make tons of carnitine by increasing iron absorption

Still seeing continued skin, digestion and mental improvements following high dose B1 along with all the other Bs in higher doses and carnitine. Will be adding biotin to the stack today ~100mcg. Sleep is not horrible, but still waiting on it to improve further.

B1 - 1000mg
B2 - 200mg
B3 - 250mg
B5 - 500mg
B6 - 100mg
B12 - 1mg
Folate - 5mg
Folinic - 800mcg
Biotin - 100mcg
Carnitine - 500mg

I still use HCl, bile/TUDCA acids and electrolytes with each meal, but I am finally starting to get burning from them, and will be titrating down. Believe B1 helped here, also saliva glands have started producing more, I could feel them activate at each meal after starting B1/B2, haven't felt that feeling in decades.

Also using NTFactor phospholipids along with rec'd ARL mineral plan for my most recent hair test Vitamin C(2g) and VitaminE(100IU)

Still focus on protein(meat, whey, egg whites), veggies/fruit, butter, some rice, beans, sour dough, bruess/veggie juices

And on a a positive note, I was able to get extremely drunk on all sorts of liquor with friends this past weekend, something I rarely ever do now. No hangover, not even feeling rough... it was like I was 20yrs old again. Major major improvement there, usually I would be sick for days, vomiting, diarrhea, etc...

Are you using active forms of B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, and B12?

I am using both methylfolate and folic acid combined and same with B12(methyl and hydroxy).

Rest of the Bs are regular, no actives.

@Orion

I definitely felt more saliva production too with just 700mg Thiamine HCl for 4 days . First time since I got PAS .

That's awesome. Definitely helping to bring digestion back online, and hopefully increasing stomach acid/bile as well.

Oily skin started to come back heavily after it was drying out nicely when mainly focusing on B1, B2, B3, B5 and carnitine.

Dropping Biotin, B6, B12, and folate for now, seems oiliness increased after after these to my stack in higher then RDA amounts last week. Biotin always gave me extreme oily skin in the past, assuming since it promotes sugar metabolism over fat(blocking it?)

B6: 50 - 100mg
B12: 1mg Hydroxy, 500mcg Methyl
Folic acid: 5mg
Methylfolate: 400mcg
Folinic - 800mcg
Biotin - 100mcg

Also been using liquid silica to chelate high hairtest Aluminum, not sure if it could be the culprit either. Nothing stands out in google searches on glucose or fat metabolism.

Why don’t you jump on ARL, Orion?

After I read so much about people having problems with folic acid -> methylfolate, I wouldnt use 5mg of folic acid. Thats quite a lot. Dont know if you are risking a methyl block with that.

Going to stop for a week, and potentially add back my ARL rec'd amounts of methylfolate and methyl B12.

After testing for a few days, figured out it was cysteine and histidine that contribute the most to drying out my skin, @Helen rec'd cysteine with b1/b2/b3 and carnitine to fire up fat metabolism, and now know it has to be free-form with me. I suspect that high B5 use in the past depleted cysteine greatly.

I had dropped the free-form amino amount down, as I figured that I was getting enough cysteine from 12 egg whites, isowhey and meat, etc...

2grams cysteine with 2grams histidine, also taken lysine/arginine(2g each), have my skin drying out again.

Dropped the Bs amount down as well, and switched to active B6, B12 and folate:

B1 - 400mg
B2 - 25mg
B3 - 100mg
B5 - 250mg
Carnitine - 250mg
B6 - 12.5mg active
B12 - 50mcg methyl
Folate - 400mcg methyl

Still continue with ARL mineral pack amounts as well.

Back from vacation and back to experimentation. Experimentation is all I got, this time it is high dose potassium, starting and increasing with 10grams K per day from 20grams of KCl, started yesterday, feel normal today, but it destroyed any sleep last night, feels like being on cortisol, sleep was light and un-refreshing. See how sleep goes tonight, yesterday was also a long day of traveling to get home.

Skin was oily on vacation, dropped most of the protocols and enjoyed family, sunbathing, pooltime and vegging out. Now back to hacking this out.

I for myself would not go over 9 max 10g. Rather less and over a bigger time period.
So be careful.

And what I learned, (but more for increasing metabolism) its not only about K intake, magnesium and other cofactors do help immensely with K use.

So what about your b1,2,3,(5,7,9,12) experiment ?

Still taking all the Bs listed in signature, and still taking ARL minerals along with MgCl and NaCl. About 3-5grams NaCl, and about ~1gram Mg from MgCl.

Skin oiliness is way down, but still looking for the missing puzzle piece, so hence the experimentation. Will stick to 9-10grams for now and see how it goes for an few days.

Dude, not wanting to stop your experiment :D

I know at some point intestinal absorption will stop, so its not like you are injecting it. (never do this)
Just saying it shouldnt be taken too lightly.

No worries, really do appreciate the feedback :)
