Finished my course of antibiotics, sadly didn't see the results I was hoping for, not gonna lie that's got me pretty down. My stomach still feels messed up, and I think I might have an ulcer or something, so I'm going to get an endoscopy for that. I'm glad that I still have stomach issues in some way, if everything felt perfect down there I'd feel like I almost have nothing obvious to fix, but there's still work to be done.

Nice. Good call. --Cognitex Brand Alpha-GPC? I liked it. Both that and Citocoholine were pretty good for focus and made workouts much more enjoyable as well as helped me work through the pain and increase rep number and decrease recovery time (some of that was Dex though). Not on any right now, as per TEI.
-I think I liked CDP-Choline by Jarrow even better. Careful on the dosing, too much and a person may "zone out". Hyperfocus but also some personality decrease.
-Probably ideal for hard analytical courses (school). Can seem odd tho to others. ---It happened to me. --It was super temporary though (like an evening at times).
-Also good thing you're getting checked out man. I ignored things for years a couple, then am reminded..... but will get new docs soon. Mostly good, but will check some things.

-Maybe*** use half the dose just in case. I don't think Choline is near as risky as most other Nootropics, but just to be sure. Mine say 1200mg, often took that. Sometimes more, but often half that also. I think half is fine, closer to optimization, things hit you hard. And on shakier ground, don't want any change in mental state to set off any bad cycle. Not talking about crashing, but I am saying can be depressing for some. --Derealization. --- Versus PSSD or PFS or even addiction, not bad at all. But, I'm just saying to exercise caution. A-GPC was pretty smooth for the most part and likely it was R-andro and such making me use higher doses of that, to try and level off mood.
-Also maybe none of this will apply to you.
-Ah, I'm sure it will be fine. Cycling on and off is prudent.

Went out drinking with some old mates today and it was pretty shit. So depressing having a few beers and feeling nothing. Was on alpha GPC last two days and it's actually made my head much clearer and brain fog better but sad to see it hasn't improved emotional numbing. Before a few drinks would guarantee I'd be able to chat to anyone and feel full of life. Now it just makes me feel even worse.

Hard in this moment to feel like things are going to get better, But also know that I've had better moments when drunk even during PSSD. And that my view is pretty blinkered right now. Maybe not the best time to update.

It will go away once you figure out a protocol that work for you, A huge majority suffer from this alcohol insensitivity

Drinking is fun but it is not the most important thing. I have not had a sip of alcohol in months. Last time I drank myself to black out in PFS state. Probably because I was unhappy.

You can try going out sober next time. I did it a lot and it is OK. Not as much fun because you are surrounded by drunk people acting silly. But still it is enjoyable. For me it is better for picking up girls. You can try that just to push you out of your comfort zone. Feels good walking up to a girl and having a chat while sober - or picking her up if you feel like it.

For me I don't even like alcohol anymore. Makes me dumber and slower. Most people use it because they have a hard time being social w/o it. Especially in this day in age. Now I go out with friends and I am sober lol. They don't even notice. I talk to girls, act a bit silly, etc.

But what you will notice without alcohol going out is not that special to begin with and to be honest I go out less than before.

Yes it is fun being with your mates. But I think most people LOVE going out purely for the alcohol and to not have to think about their life situation. I rather see everything clear w/o the fog of alcohol.

Anyways, long rant... :) You'll be fine man. Gotta try something else maybe - something new, different protocol, whatever. It is trial & error.

Once you get to a certain level of craziness, you seem drunk/high anyways.
But* it's because the others are normals and ignorant. A slip here and there won't hurt you long run. I'm safer to all the crybabies out there - sans alcohol.

Just an update: I never felt like I really recovered from a virus I had last spring. Still down 7kg from my old weight, get more joint pain than before, and generally feel weaker than I did before (on top of a lot of my PSSD symptoms). Still in a better way than I was during the first two years of PSSD because I can manage my brain fog. I decided to see some guy who's got a good website talking about recovery from benzo addiction & balancing neurotransmitters and he prescribed me what seems like quite a mental stack of supplements, I've decided to give it a go because he seemed to know his stuff and will be starting on April 1.

The supplements I'll be taking are:

Lithium orotate
Baby Aspirin
Zinc
NAC cysteine
Polygala
Magnolia bark
Skullcap
Bacopa
Jiaogualn
Curcumin/piperine
Taurine
Omega 3 Mega-EPA/DHA
Probiotics
Multivitamin
Magnesium Citrate

Did you have your gut checked?
I remember you though to have ulcer.
I am a guru of ulcers so you can describe your symptoms and I will tell you if you have it or not.
Did you ever see any blood in your stool?

thanks @wuf, I had stomach pains a few hours after eating for a few weeks, and a separate pain in the lower left of my abdomen. The stomach pain went away after 3 weeks, but the lower left pain comes back from time to time. I also had my lymph nodes swell up. No bleeding in stool. I don't think I had an ulcer in hindsight. as I've had multiple H Pylori blood tests and a stool test too.

Feel sad, a good friend is going on 25mg of Sertraline tomorrow, has BDD and is never convinced he's big enough even though he's way tougher than most guys I know. Ultimately all my attempts at warning him of the dangers just doesn't connect, as long as doctors continue to prescribe these drugs they'll always be trusted over fringe cases like me. Sucks

He'll most likely be fine. I've talked about this shit with friends who have been on antidepressants themselves and even they just look at me like I'm crazy.

What is your plan for next steps?

Intense exercise is the one thing that has helped my stomach more consistently than anything else, after I finish exams June 7 will optimise exercise programme. Want to give Lithium Orotate (very low dose elemental Lithium) a good trial. After that might have to give TEI a couple of proper cycles.

Stopped taking Magnesium Citrate and stools have gotten a little less loose, somehow that's massively boosted my confidence. Scary shit how anxious I can still get taking the wrong supplements even if they're weak. Genuinely felt like a self conscious teenage wreck for a few days
