I think everybody (who eats low iodine diet like majority of people do) should take at least couple of mg from lugol's solution.

I think for example, if a slow oxi takes it alone it may crash.
We don't use replacement theraphy here, we try to understand the metabolism and to balance it, iodine pushes the thyroid, and pushing the thyroid without paying attention to the adrenals can crash you

ARL rec'd it for me, so I am taking some this round. 225mcg/day

What?? Taking mineral or eating food high in that mineral is replacement theraphy?? What you talking about LOL. Japan people who eat like 10-15mg from sea vegetables a day are on replacement theraphy? LOL

The distinction he is making is that we don't simply supplement for deficiencies, and that instead, we aim to supplement for the systems that would allow the body to correct deficiencies.

So eating kelp flakes = taking thyroid? lol ?

You don't understand what i'm saying, again.
Filling all deficiencies isn't rebalancing, and we were talking about iodine supplementation, not food

and this is done how if you have low iodine and you don't know it? I am asking all the time about iodine, but it seems nobody knows much and/or is not interested to understand..

A long time ago, Joekool rec'd me to take iodine.
That was a long time ago, I think it may have helped. I'm a lot better now but obv not perfect. And I just simplified things so I only take like 2-3 things for PFS (but one drink which has a lot), if I don't workout, then more things individually. If I wasn't worried about combining tm then I may still take iodine, but not rite now. Maybe tho eventually, but probably ARL or some other detox post my second prohormones cycle + pct et al.

Also, JQD talked about thyroid a lot (don't follow him, just mentioning).

For some time I thought I had hypothyroid sometimes, (like early 20's), but if anything fit more im sure PFS did affect thyroid of c,, but partially resolved, maybe fully once cured, or maybe thyroid issues of PFS are gone, but other thyroid issues still there, who knows. Tests showed neither or closer to one, I can't recall. Also a lot of symptoms of both could have been medication caused, like the excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) I had for yrs after SNRI/SSRI. Still sweat like crazy but working out and it's like +30, goes away tho, after reshower.

I’ve posted this in a couple other threads so you may not have seen it but my worst crash was a result of iodine. Granted, it was a mega dose given to me by my doctor but I crashed hard and have not recovered from that. That was almost two years ago I think. Before that, my libido and shrinkage would waver back and forth. Since the iodine I have been at an extreme low ever since and my body is very unresponsive. Hoping ARL can help.
I’m not squashing iodine btw. I actually think it is probably helpful for most, especially if starting off on a low dose and building up from there. Heck, I may even try that a few years down the road if I can make some headway in my recovery and get myself balance and constitutionally stronger. But for now, I don’t think my body can tolerate it.
I think someone else said they crashed from iodine as well...and that was not a mega dose like mine.

What type of iodine and how much? Of course it can be dangerous if you start with 50mg and without other things like selenium etc.. I would say 10 max 15mg a day with selenium will be safe for general use..

I don’t remember the type but it was the 50mg mega dose. Immediately afterwards, I was diagnosed with hoshimoto’s hypothyroidism. There are folks on the web who claim the 50mg mega dose can literally cause hypothyroidism. I have no idea if this is true or not and, if so, I have no idea if that was the case for me (I had never had my thyroid labs checked prior to the mega dose). I have read a number of articles discussing the benefits of slowly building up to taking high doses of iodine daily. Very intriguing.

TSH will go up if you take doses like this. That doesn't mean anything. Simply when I look at iodine research from people like Brownstein etc.. it really makes sense take some iodine and Japan people are good example that doses around 10mg are great for your health especially thyroid, prostate, breasts, ovaries etc.. Anyway I will be taking lugol's and I will report if my T4/T3 are in good range and my nodules on thyroid smaller or gone. I will go to my endo for ultrasound only when I will know that my thyroid is working again properly.. I know this is not just about iodine. But I think it is huge part of it..

The liver pain is the cause of my non existent appetite and nausea, i have had very bad liver pain these days and my appwtite has been non existent.
A liver flush i did 2 years ago put me in this situation, so no bs liver flush suggestions please, i'm thinking of malic acid to help with this, what do you think and what dosage do you suggest to help keeping the bile liquid ?

I was in the same situation. I did a liliver flush and it was the beginning of my liver problem. I did a second one, it didn't help or hurt. I think liver flushes can be good but you need to be very careful.

Wormwood helped get rid of my liver pain and indigestion. Within three days of taking it the pain went away and after a month I didn't need to take it anymore. TUDCA Seems very promising also.

This is what I took Living Defense

Tried both tudca and wormwood without success, the only thing that helped so far has been infrared lamp, i tried many things
