Just been looking into how pine pollen powder compares to whey protein for amino acids, and per gram whey protein does provide a fair bit more, although pine pollen is still an excellent source, and also contains many vitamins and minerals in natural forms. I'm thinking of starting on this again, but obviously taking alongside betaine HCL to ensure it gets absorbed properly.

This link provides some excellent information on all the amino acids and other nutrients in pine pollen, and the functions of all the essential amino's - worth checking out! This sums up the importance of amino acids (to be honest I've always overlooked AA's until reading this forum!)

This is really interesting;

Nutritional Analysis of Pine Pollen | RAW Forest Foods

Excellent post on aminos, that is why I think taking all aminos via whey/egg white/EAA etc. is superior at least for me over zinc finger since all aminos work together with cofactors.

Regarding pine pollen, my experience was pretty bad with it like 6 months ago. It increased my libido but gave me anxiety and brain fog. I think there are many variables that could cause issues in it being it contains different hormones too. However, I did not try it in conjunction with this protocol listed in the thread.

I had some hesitation about which form of amino to take as well. Ultimately went with pine pollen in the morning, whey protein in the afternoon and histidine, cysteine, glycine, glutamine and lycine before bed. Have an EAA supplement as well. Haven’t used it yet.

Not taking any mamal dosis or anything. The whey and pine pollen especially carry only small doses of amino’s.

Why did you stop this protocol initially?

You can just increase the dosage though, usual dosage for whey is about 25grams and that contains 500mg of histidine for example, which would be the usual dose for a capsule. Pine pollen would require more.

I was doing great taking 3 x heaped teaspoons of pine pollen per day a couple of years back - really good mental clarity and felt really confident - slight improvement in sexual sides too, but I started getting high e sides like sensitive nips and stuff. Bizarre really, but stopped the pp and the sides went away.

Is this a protocol to follow for androgenic alopecia as well or will it make things worse since it is helping PFS? I don't have PFS.

Besides NADH, is NADPH recommended as well ? I think it would be usefull in helping our thyroid and gluthathione, just ordered it in capsules from there: NADPH Factors pack of 60 capsules

Is one capsule a day enough ?

just follow the protocol of improved health, those things are all optional. And not really needed. YOu need to get out of alkalosis and the rest will go back online

You could play with NAPDH precursors and let us know how you do , since you already ordered them/ that would be informative.

Just to clirify once and forever, cause in the protocol it is writte "zinc finger" diet..I skypped that piece and I should go back to search around 60 pages.
I still don't understand if the diet has to be low in carbo/normal or not.
Could someone detail it please?
Also because @gbolduev said to use whey protein and the one I bought has 75gr of carbo per serving.
So please tell me if keep staying in a low carbo diet is the right way.

You need to eat quite a bit when you use all that HCL. For carbs I’m just eating a lot of rice meals and some potatoes on a rare occasion.

That's a ton of carbs in that whey man! @wuf. There's other ones with nearly no carbs (may contain stevia and other sweeteners). Muscle milk has a lot - but still like 24g-48g in 2 scoops max. I usually used ones that are 2.5-12g carbs per serving.

Wait 75g or 7.5g? Maybe if you need a mass gainer that is fine.
You want 100% whey isolate or similar.

Carbs are okay just don't go overboard and cut out gluten. So potatoes and rice like mentioned above is what I take as well.

How important is it to drink alot of water on this protocol, I very rarely get thirsty and can easily go a day without getting thirsty, should I force myself to drink water while doing all of this?

I already drink gallons just for swallowing all those pills and minerals haha. Need to remind myself to keep drinking during the day though, indeed. It is very important.

It is important to be hydrated when healing from chronic ilnnesses but you can't over do it. And you don't want to drink too much if at all while you're eating. You don't want to rinse yourself of minerals.
