@Helen - I wondered if you have had an opportunity to take a look at this yet? It'd be good to hear your thoughts.

yes I looked at it, it has merit. It is the same as increasing folinic acid.

the only thing it is hard to say if it lowers AR or not. just like fin. In that cause I am not sure about.

The goal for hairgrowth is to increase eNOS and produce NO without producing superoxide. This is done with bh4 , folinic acid, iron arginine. depending on the person

Thanks for coming back to me. I actually took the Immortal Regimen for a couple of years. I ahve a feeling it reduces libido and led to increased hair loss.

Where would you get bh4, folinic acid and arginine from naturally?

Also, has anyone tried serrapeptase for hair purposes due to its potent anti fibrotic properties?

Funny thing is that anything that slows my metabolism down thickens my hair big time like castor oil etc. but I can literally feel my body slowing down big time via digestion. I'm definitely a protein wasting case, but sea salt scrubs daily have at least stabilized my hair for time being so I'm more into the fibrosis, calcification areas as those seem to help most without slowing my metabolism down way too much

@TubZy , yes I'm using it plus natto and other enzymes included. I notice when I take it , my erections are stronger. I should use it much more frequently.

It's increases circulation, anti fibrotic (breaks up scar tissue) and anti inflammatory. Prob from those reasons but that is awesome. How much you taking per day?

I use Nephrinol AFD...it truly is an awesome product and I think it could keep people from having heart attacks in the middle of the night and I usually take two capsules at night whenever I feel I need to... And I usually feel better right away... It's got magnesium in it too plus bromelain and other enzymes... Hey, I just went over that thread by Haidut, where he talks about 5 androstendiol coming from a buildup of DHEA... To me that just makes perfect sense for most males that have the typical balding and of course we know that DHEA is always elevated in young balding males..I was hoping you could ask at @Helen what he thinks about that theory.

DHEA and ando is high, since 3 beta hsd isn't working. This is why too much pregnenolone is left for DHEA and also this is why ando does not convert to testosterone since it converts with 3 beta hsd. . And also this is why DHT does not convert it is metabolites. since it is converted by 3 beta HSD.

Thus a person gets high DHEA , high DHT, high androstendiol. which has nothing to do with the hairloss.

This happens since 3 beta HSD works on NAD and uses NAD as a subtrate. But in most hairloss people. There is an activation of production of NADPH since there is a lot of oxidative stress. or there is a problem with making NAD in the body from tryptophan.

NAD is either being crazily spent like in oxidative stress, or there is an iron deficiency or its cofactors like vitamin C manganese b2 b1

And thus all of this spends your NAD.

If there is no NAD, then 3beta hsd does not work. this causes the build up of DHEA, andro and DHT since all of them need 3 beta hsd to get converted further., and also it causes zero cortisol. since if there is no 3 beta hsd , there is no progesterone and if there is no progesterone there is no potassium . No potassium = low cortisol. Since the higher cortisol the less potassium you will have . And thus all the pressure goes into onto fats and adrenaline. but they also dont work well without NAD , so you start working on cortisol in low potassium condition . And you are DONE.

eNOS starts making superoxide since there is no Bh4. and you get hairloss.

This is why women use iron pills to get their hair back, or you use folinic acid to get your hair back after chemo or chelation.

I use folinic acid after the chelation all the time and my hair totally falls out after the chelation and grows back on folinic acid, since folinic acid needs NADPH to be made and during chelation you have NONE since it all spent on glutathione recylcing

Sorry I thought you were asking about Ecklonia Cava.

You can just take breuss fast components, it has nitrates and folinic acid in there. you dont have to fast , you can just take the component while eating.

@Helen , yes that makes sense, so Trilostane is a medication they give to block 3B hsd, and it regrew hair in dogs. so is high cortisol or maybe cortisol insensitivity the cause of male pattern baldness? I know we're talking about eNOS and bh4, and folinic acid. but does the cortisol in sensitivity or high cortisol have anything to do with male pattern balding?

I should have mentioned that trilostane blocks cortisol in the studies and the dogs all regrew a whole bunch of hair...Danny Roddy has pictures on his Twitter account of the dogs... I'm just wondering what is the mechanism of hair growth by blocking 3 b h s d?

MPB is not allopecia X( skin disorder in dogs)

And actually cortisol supplements are known to grow hair in MPB subjects. like Licorice by increasing cortisol grows hair. Licorice stops cortisol breakdown.

There is no cortisol in MPB, it is very low and body does not piss it out Since it is all the body is working on at this stage. it is trying to conserve cortisol but without 3 beta hsd it cant make it properly.

3 beta hsd makes progesterone )) Dont forget.

Alopecia X is the skin disorder.

It is a known fact that corticosteroids regrow hair in alopecia areata. alopecia areata - systemic corticosteroids for alopecia areata

Dexamethasone which is cortisol also treats allopecia universialis , this is not dogs and cats we are talking about, https://www.jaad.org/article/S0190-9622(15)02602-X/abstract

3b hsd is the enzyme that makes progesterone and retains potassium.

That is why if you have diffuse hairloss from too fast metabolism by blocking this enzyme you will slow down the metabolism and save hair.

But in most cases it is not about that at all. If you have high DHEA, high andro , your 3 beta isn't working.

This is why if you take corticosteroids, cortisol supplements. And then quit. You will have crazy hairloss. Since cortisol will be zero after you quit cortisol.. YOu can ask anyone who took cortisol supplements that when they try to quit , hair starts falling like crazy. Since there is no cortisol when you quit the drug, since you were taking cortisol and you downregulated your own production and so when you quit the cortisol all of a sudden you have none, And now the body has to work solely on adrenaline which causes the hairloss.

SO if Haidut and Danny Roddy want to lower cortisol. They have to go on CORTISOL and then quit. And boom they will have very low cortisol)) for a long long time, they can have this low cortisol for years after quitting cortisol LOL. And I want to see their hair after that. They will lose all of it since their cortisol will be very low. and the body will have to work on solely on adrenaline with low potassium )) Which will cause low Co2 levels ))

Look at these people Hair Loss Help Forums - My 4 week update since applying topical Cortisone cream; you must read!.

Danny Roddy never had MPB IMO. Diffuse hairloss has nothing to do with MPB.
