Urecholine CURED a guy for PSSD.

Interesting. I'll try it after high dose niacin.

Neuroactive steroid levels in PFS. ( AR receptors , androgens.) POSSIBLE ways to fix PFS or understand it better.

The people in that study took fin and reported persistent sexual dysfunction. People online took fin and reported persistent sexual dysfunction. We don't see everyone online having high T. And surely there have been more than 16 people who have had their T levels checked. My point is, if you...

Neuroactive steroid levels in PFS. ( AR receptors , androgens.) POSSIBLE ways to fix PFS or understand it better.

Maybe, maybe not. The mean age of that study was 33, and patients were screened to be healthy before PFS. Online we often see older men with naturally lower T as well as people who had health problems before PFS. The sample size was also small (16) and usually you need 30 or so people in a study...

Neuroactive steroid levels in PFS. ( AR receptors , androgens.) POSSIBLE ways to fix PFS or understand it better.

You are correct. T is elevated in PFS plasma and CSF. But I'm not sure if that is free T or total.

PFS , ( GABA, ARs, DHT testosterone ) Mechanism of PFS continued.

So in terms of a protocol, you would need to take enough DHT to raise free DHT high. In order to do that safely, you would need to get a before and after blood test, to make sure you dont raise it to dangerous levels. Can we test total DHT, or does it have to be free DHT? I havent seen a free...

getting a flu shot(vaccine), what are the risks with our condition?

Here is the original 1954 blinded placebo controlled polio study which included over 600000 children. I. PLAN OF STUDY

getting a flu shot(vaccine), what are the risks with our condition?

If vaccines dont work then how do you explain the near total eradication of polio following mass polio vaccination in the 80s? Years that i get the flu shot, i dont get the flu. See the list at the bottom of this article for some double blind placebo controlled trials. Where are the Double...

getting a flu shot(vaccine), what are the risks with our condition?

When I get the flu it tends to fuck me up bad for 2 weeks. So I get the flu shot almost every year. I know lots of people who get it, along with dozens of other vaccines in their lifetime (measles, polio, etc), and have never heard of anyone getting negative side effects. That's not to say it...

    Talkingant Tests (PSSD)

Got some more tests: DUTCH test and 3a-diol-G (was normal). Some interesting results on the DUTCH test. Havent dug too much into it yet but here are my initial observations: low-ish T low-ish DHT low Estrogens low cortisol (already knew that from bloods) maybe low DHEA maybe low glutathione...

A protocol Based on CSF steroid levels

Study: Rats given PSSD showed sexual improvements on DHT and 17b-estradiol This goes in hand with the lowered neurosteroids theory, and as seen in PFS CSF. If the brain cannot manufacture enough, we simply supplement those neurosteroids and get receptors activating again. The trick is dosage...

    Blocking Blue Light

I use blue light filter glasses, but I got these $8 ones and they work fine. I notice I am more tired and fall asleep more quickly if I wear them for the last 2 hours or so before bed. I also used blue filter apps but that isnt as good as wearing the glasses.

Neuroactive steroid levels in PFS. ( AR receptors , androgens.) POSSIBLE ways to fix PFS or understand it better.

Not really. Best you can do is raise hormone levels in blood enough that some cross the blood-brain barrier into the brain. Like if you supplement T and Prog, you will probably need high blood levels to get somewhat normal levels in the brain. But as we see in the study, PFS ppl already have...

Neuroactive steroid levels in PFS. ( AR receptors , androgens.) POSSIBLE ways to fix PFS or understand it better.

My graph fucked up some 0 values, I updated it in the post. Looking at the % of normal values: Preg is low in PFS brain. This could mean low conversion of cholesterol to preg via CYP11a1 (aka P450scc) enzyme in the brain. Low P450scc activity could also be explained by low availability of the...

    Recovery Analysis Project

Hello all, I am starting a project to analyze recovery stories of PSSD, PFS, PAS, and related disorders. The goal is to find commonalities in recovery stories. With this information we can come up with an ordered list of what treatments are best to try, which could be customized based on what...

Neuroactive steroid levels in PFS. ( AR receptors , androgens.) POSSIBLE ways to fix PFS or understand it better.

Here is the table from that study showing differences in blood (plasma) and brain (CSF) levels of neurosteroids, compared to normal (controls). Differences between blood and brain are interesting. It suggests fin has altered neurosteroid enzymes in the brain. Neurosteroids can cross the...

ANAVAR trials and results so far.( will be updated )

I will check my 3a-diol-G levels soon as well. Also have DUTCH test results coming in. We need more people to give var a shot. It seems like it could help certain body chemistries. Also if you take var you should get some hormone tests beforehand so we can use that data to see what body...

Epigenetic changes from Finasteride.( Demethylation protocol and explanation of Demethylating ENZYMES)

Interesting post. We need more data on what exactly is upregulated or downregulated via methylation or histone acetylation. The problem with HDAC/DMNT inhibitors is that you could end up upregulating genes you dont want. It's a sort of shotgun approach. Mineral balancing has promise but there is...

    Dopamine Agonists for PSSD

I havent seen many cured cases with DA. My guess is, they can improve symptoms while on them, but are unlikely to cure permanently. Still worth trying though. I tried prami briefly, but it fucked up my sleep so I didnt take it very long. I will try ropinirole, cabergoline, and buspirone soon.
