@Hope
-Can you use a mortar & pestle and grind it down to defeat time activation, and then use a rolling paper (like for joints/tobacco) and then tie it up and wash it down with water? I.e. "parachuting"/"bombing".
People do that all the time on certain meds. Or import (amazon, etc)?
-Also digital scales, capsules (amazon has both), or dissolving them straight in water as I confirmed is fine with @TubZy. That makes dosing easier than trying to fill your own capsules.

Hi @MNK99, I can look into the "mortar & pestle" method thanks! Importing takes about a month and it's always risky with prescription drugs.

Hi guys,
thank you very much for your effort!

I want to start this protocol. I have only one problem: here in Italy the potassium chloride is a prescription drug and it comes only in the delayed release formula 600mg (so you can't even split the pills). Can I use another type of potassium, even at higher doses, or is essential only in this way?
Maybe buy it abroad?

coffe filter does not work?

Hi guys.
I have received the potassium chloride and magnesium chloride.
I have all I need in my hands.

1) potassium chloride and magnesium chloride (which I have to understand by my own which is the good dosage for me) - Could you suggest wich is the initial dose I can try?
2) digestive enzymes (I think for me the dosage indicated on the package is not enough, could I try more?)
3) Bethaine HCL (capsule form) - Is it fine or powder is better?
4) Whey
5) Food (LOL)

Should I start it or need more info before to start?
I ask how you guys have organized the trial so to do the right thing and don't bother to much with questions.
If I do notice something while I am using these stuff, should I update my log or where to text it or whatelse?
Thank you

@Canari - not sure.
If you mean paper coffee filter rather than "rolling papers". Probably also could work. tissue paper also (not great to ingest perhaps).

@gbolduev

Blood results with pfs but prior to 5 htp:

Sodium 141 mmol/L (135 - 145)
Potassium 4.3 mmol/L (3.5 - 5.5)
Chloride 100 mmol/L (95 - 110)
Bicarb 24 mmol/L (20 - 32)

Blood results with pfs and post 5 htp:

Sodium 140 mmol/L (135 - 145)
Potassium 4.3 mmol/L (3.5 - 5.5)
Chloride 101 mmol/L (95 -110)
Bicarb 28 mmol/L (20 - 32)

Do I need to take sodium chloride along with the other electrolytes? To me it looks like I don't have pssd and don't need sodium chloride. Need your confirmation @gbolduev before starting the protocol.

yes.
it has the right form, and you can find it ecological if you fear for bleach in the white one.

YOu need to get a hairtest. and ask less questions. It is all in the protocol.. For some reason people totally omit the hairtest part/ This is the part where they will tell you what you need.Without it you would not know which cofactors to increase./ LIke someone with high copper will need zinc and manganese more ., someone with low copper will need copper.

You could try to do the same with a multi, I am not sure if it will work

if your sodium is not high , you can supp sodium chloride

You keep asking me about stuff, but I have no idea about your imbalance. I dont know your bloods, gases, hair, anything.

So if you use this protocol, you have to experiment on what makes you feel better. Or do a hairtest and get balanced.

I'm following your protocol where you said clearly - take electryolytes (potassium chloride and magnesium chloride) and if you are pssd and low in sodium in bloods, sodium chloride. That's what you said.

All I'm asking is if based on my bloods, when I do the electrolytes, do I need to take sodium chloride or not. That is all. I'm not asking anything about being balanced.

And the only reason I ask is I took 5htp after I took propecia. And I provided bloods of the sodium levels with pfs but prior to 5-htp and with pfs and post 5-htp. All I wanted was your advice on whether I add the sodium chloride in or not.

Pretty much all I am asking is whether I am taking sodium chloride as part of my electrolytes when my sodium value as per the blood test is 140 mmol/L (135 - 145). That's pretty much all I'm asking.

From what I've concluded, your sodium chloride's blood levels may be perfect, but you may still have to use it as an ingredient.

It's more about compound action - not about getting specific parameter to be in lab range.
Yeah that's what I want clarification on. For pfs, it is magnesium and potassium chlorides. For pssd, it is the same plus sodium chloride.

I definitely have pfs and I took 5-htp during my pfs time and I am unsure whether I have pssd. My sodium in the blood isn't low so I suspect I don't. So therefore I think I should take just magnesium and potassium chlorides. But I'm after @gbolduev to clarify this so I don't do any harm to myself.

Just seconding what @HerrFisch said, you need a hairtest for whether or not you will take large or small doses of minerals(sodium, magnesium, calcium, zinc, manganese, copper, etc). Potassium chloride is required, but magnesium chloride can be added in later if you are low in mag. Most people are usually very deficient in magnesium.

He’s said in previous posts that if you are low in sodium bloods to take sodium chloride, and if you are high to not.

He mentioned bloods as opposed to hair.

And I’m not trying to balance myself minerals wise, I’m focusing on the alkalosis part of the protocol which is electrolytes plus hcl.

Just follow TubZy's routine. I think he was taking 500mg of KCl and MgCl2 with every meal, alongisde betain HCl (I think he started low and titrated upwards of 6000mg/day).

Just try it with the Mg and K first if you are throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks. If that does nothing after a few weeks, add NaCl.

Maybe buy it abroad?

I find it only in the USA, it takes a month to come in Italy and here it's a prescription drug, so it's not safe to import.

So, to speak... I've read a lot of pages and threads but can't completely understand.

I get that the chloride version has better absorption and most importantly helps to counteract alkalosis (it's what we want) whereas other forms of potassium favor it. But, since we use also a lot of HCL and magnesium chloride also could be an option the use of another formulation of potassium, maybe at higher doses?

Maybe @gbolduev ?

Please, just a word on this, thank you very much!

For NaCl, I think taste is a good indicator, as my taste for salt is lowering, due probably to the fact I have been salting a lot until now.

The protocole mentions you need the hair test anyway, and that cofactors are important to balance too.

I guess all those who try this are all slow oxidizers?
