Yes while on zinc you feel worse but after you should feel better. I did after the first TEI cycle but it took 2-3 weeks before I noticed this.
I think it depends on your body chemistry.
For me when I supplemented copper I felt better on the day itself. But after a while I got worse brainfog, high anxiety, insomnia, etc. Eventually just became a crazy person. I would get emotional with girls - getting into fights, etc. Stupid stuff.
I think I was already high copper. Even before finasteride.
With zinc you just have to bite the bullet and keep taking it. Then afterwards you feel better. I think while you are taking zinc and b6, etc. copper is also released in the bloodstream which might make you feel even worse.
While on higher amount zinc your 5AR is lower I think, plus estrogen is low, plus copper is in bloodstream, etc. This can cause fatigue.
There is a study:
Impact of oral zinc therapy on the level of sex hormones in male patients on hemodialysis. - PubMed - NCBI
Shows that zinc supplementation increases LH.
Anyways on TEI you also get manganese which supposedly "caps" so that your progesterone will not get too high. Still I notice certain effects from zinc that I always get when I take it. It is probably the lower estrogen while taking it.
In the end it is all about the balance. I think that is why you cannot judge these programs or a particular mineral too quick for exmaple.. Need to give it time. You go in one body chemistry to another. Maybe in the first body chemistry you had higher libido but you had other issues. Then you go in another body chemistry maybe your libido is a bit lower but it fixed other issues. ETC.
This is what I think. I don't know yet, we will see in a while.
