Okay just got labs back. Progesterone is 0.1 4 days after taking 2.5 drops of avodart. Last year my progesterone level was 0.2 (0-0.5). Interestingly dht 77 (30-85) I’d expect it to be lower.

Have you had DHT tested before? It could've been really high before maybe

Update:
Labs came in today. Testosterone 974 (10days after two drops of avodart) compared to 874 last month. Previously 800. (264-916). Free test 9.4 comparted to 9.1 last month, previously 7 (7.2-24). DHT 66 compared to 57 (30-85) previously around 83.

I think this was his values pre-avodart (83)

Pretty crazy it does not lower DHT that much. I thought Avodart was way more powerful (bottoming out DHT in some guys) with a flat dose response.

I remember reading DHT values by Good Looking Loser and his DHT was low-medium range on finasteride. But he is also injecting testosterone which shows Helen is right that if you inject test your DHT also goes down.

I think two drops would be about 20% of the pill and that is equal to 0.1mg.
I’ll look it up to be sure but previously I checked labs like 8 days after dose and dht was 57.

I wonder if doing this, I would be less sensitive to the effect. I wonder if that is good or bad.

I think it was. I was taking lower dose ( need to confirm) but I think one drop and and 11 days later it was 57.

I wonder if taking saw palmetto for a week would have a similar milder effect as the dut is. I think Helen said it acted as a progestin as well....

Highly suggest. The benefits of that supplement are great. And long lasting!

FYI....... I have been taking .25mg Fin once a week for about two months now. Really nothing incredible to report. If it’s doing anything, I can’t notice it. Really hard to say. All in all, I had hoped for a quick response to the regimen. Doesn’t seem to be the case, at least for me.

Maybe fin isn't strong enough due to the short half life. Maybe try twice a week 0.25 twice a week? I.e. Monday and Thursday

See, that’s the thing. I did. Couple weeks ago I did 4 days after taking it. Boom, brainfog, detached feeling. Haven’t felt that for almost a year. So there is a connection to it somehow. Maybe it only works for high DHt people, and I need the opposite?

Makes sense to me. Helen has concluded you and Jack are different cases correct?

He’s the high dht guy, you’re the low one?

Makes sense this wouldn’t work for you.

Correct, but the theory was that, if it’s a receptor issue, it will work either way. It’s just about resensitizing the receptor. It should work both ways. At least for now it doesn’t seem that way.

I see now.

Brother if you've taken too much, taking more over and over again isn't going to do anything. You need to wait for your DHT to go back up, and it usually takes around 10 - 14 days. In the mean time dont take any more finasteride.

Absolutely. That was just a one time experiment. I am not taking it over and over again, at 4 day frequency. Was just seeing if dosing closer together had a better effect. It didn’t. So, dosing closer together can induce a temporary onset of the sides that I have rid myself of. I will keep with once a week for a little while longer, but, I’m not sure that this is doing anything to move me closer to pre PFS , as I’d hoped.
