Tell you what, if you want to fiddle with the latter idea I'll run the "big hit" idea for 10 days. I didn't really feel DRAMATICALLY better on the RU, but maybe a little bit. Then again it was only a short short run. This'll be double the length and 50% stronger dose too.

I'm tempted to start Monday even, before the bloods come back, but I'd probably just better wait for the results and see.

@Helen do you have any thoughts on the upcoming?

sounds good man,

You should wait until you get your labs back just to see where everything is at. Also seeing that we are taking RU sourced from a chines suppliers who were fast to sell large amounts to a "unknown person" do you think it's a good idea to maybe take just a little like lets say the first day just to make sure it is what they say it is? No reason to be overly worried but the thought did cross my mind

how is your cortisol high if you posted it as low

estrogen is lower than the middle of the range.

collection time and date: 2:49 PM on 10/9/17.

Total Testosterone: 531 (250-1100 ng/dl)
Free Testosterone: 60.0 (35.0-155.0 pgml)
SHBG: 43 (10-50 nmol/L)
Estrogen Total: 110.8 (60-190 pgml)
Potassium random urine: 57 (12-129 nmol/l)
prolactin: 5.3 (2.0-18.0 ng/ml)
Progesterone: <0.1 (<or=0.2 ng/ml)
Cortisol: 13.2 (10-50 nmol/l mcg/dl)
( For 7am-9am): 4.0-22.0
( For 3pm-5pm): 3.0-17.0

My estrogen results from my last labs on 10/9/2017 tested in at 110.8 PG/ML and the labs reference range is 60-190 pg/ml. 190 divided in half is 95 and my reading is 110.8. That's how I am concluding that my estrogen tested in towards the higher end of the labs reference range but not close to being flagged as high.

The Cortisol lab's reference range is 10-50 nmol/mcg/dl. But below that it pinpoints what is normal for a 7am-9am sample and what is normal for a 3pm-5pm sample. My blood was taken at 2:49 pm which is really close to 3pm so I am going by what is normal for a sample taken during the hrs of 3pm-5pm . The labs reference range is saying that what's normal for a 3pm-5pm sample is 3.0-17.0 and mine is 13.2 which is towards the higher end of the 3pm-5pm range

or maybe I am confused and not understanding the labs cortisol range?

Hello all,

Very little to report really. Although mentally a lot better. When you improve much you realise just how far it was you 'slipped' from the old you! I could live happily this way, but the more that comes back the more I realise I'd lost...

Bloods taken Friday, now we wait...

In terms of symptoms, everything (all of it) has gotten somewhat better. Some things more than others (and some things barely anything) so here we go:

Sexually - this has improved the least but has improved a bit. Orgasms still don't crash me but I have a few days "on" masturbation and a few days "off" it. Erections a tiny bit better, libido a tiny bit increased (walked around the town centre deliberately staring at anyone fit on Saturday, and could talk myself into a radiply-fading semi on occasion.)

Sour headache - SMASHED this; reduced from all-consuming degree of permanent howling to an occasional flicker. I am so seriously happy that's taken a beating.

Sleep - this is now not SUPER brilliant, but I can reliably sleep 6+ hours/night on weekdays and 10+ hours Friday/Saturday. I dream, and it's refreshing, but it's not *quite* what sleep used to be. This was GREAT at the start/just having come off but now falling back a little.

Gym - much better. Get pumps and body works and feels like it did pre-fin.

Skin - became oily, then became oily and insensitive like penis skin had become, that then got better, now a little insensitive only on the nose and forehead. Weird.

So, VERY VERY excited to resume this! I spent a large amount of the weekend putting mifepristone powder into little capsules, felt like Scarface sitting in the kitchen with my little scales. Have enough to run 1g/day for 11 days, which I just might do once results are in.

In the mean time, waiting on bloods and taking Gillian Hamer's supps and Ocguy's gut drink.

But I'm DESPERATE to just run the 11 days now!

Thanks all, keep on going.

Got into work to a email today, my bloods got damaged in the post. Irritating as I'd been very much looking forward to running the 1g/day for 10 days asap.

New kits on the way and new appointment for Monday 22nd. Results then should be with us early August now. FFS.

Some benefits honestly are continuing to slide back a bit. Sleep is now as bad as ever, sexually not up to a whole lot.

On the positives, mood though has improved and skin has also improved. Feeling of "world placement and ambience" is back a little bit.

Bit tired and frustrated and grumpy and sick of PFS at the moment.

Why does RU cause oily skin? Mine is getting worse as time goes on.

Your labs got damages? did you mail a blood sample through the mail?

I am wondering if an 800MG cycle did not have any long lasting positive effects is it safe to assume that a 1000mg cycle wont either? in other words I am wondering if you are better off trying a lower dose but longer cycle.

The supplier I went through emailed me and told me that they cant send me 15g because they only have 13 left. Of course I am not complaining about 13g of RU for $90 haha...

anyway mine is on it's way and I am currently tracking it. It has not left China yet but it looks like it's at customs now. Keeping fingers crossed

I am leaning towards a lower dose cycle simple because for me 50mg for three days only almost worked. So I am going to try to figure out what to take with it to make it work again

Yep, post them off to the lab and results should be two weeks following. Oh well...

I'm not sure, I'm feeling a bit like either hit it with a bigger hammer, so to speadk, or try something new. On the 'new' front I might just be able to get hold of 2g Ella (powder) for $140. THAT we've not done a solid, high-dose run of, and that might be beneficial to try too. Either way, got about 3+ weeks to decide.

@Helen @Boris - what would you reckon on trying, say, 50mg Ella/day for 7 days? Worth a try? Once our "post-bloods" are in here of course. Those can then act as "pre-bloods" for %trial% and I'll take "on-cycle" bloods too if we go with the Ella.

Any thoughts?

What does RU stand for?
It was created by the French pharmaceutical company Roussel-Uclaf, hence the RU. From Wikipedia:
In April 1980, as part of a formal research project at the French pharmaceutical company Roussel-Uclaf for the development of glucocorticoid receptor antagonists, chemist Georges Teutsch synthesized mifepristone (RU-38486, the 38,486th compound synthesized by Roussel-Uclaf from 1949 to 1980; shortened to RU-486), which was discovered to also be a progesterone receptor antagonist.

Boris and Helen recently pointed out that if the goal is to block prog receptors only Ella is the better bet but if goal is to block prog and cortisol receptors RU is what to use. I guess it depends on the person the case and what you are getting at as far as what you suspect the problem is

My opinion in my case I believe it’s an issue with prog and cortisol receptors. I also believe that blocking one effects the other some how in some complicated way. My first 50 mg/3 day run back in 2017 when I almost got cured I think that my rising cortisol levels following the first cycle undid what the RU had a positive effect on. As far as how this happened I don’t know.

We do know that cortisol gets 5ar reduced to cortisol metabolites. If a 5ar metabolite such as allopreg can have such dramatic effect on how we react to stress and how we function than it’s not to difficult to believe that cortisol metabolites could have at least an equal as significant effect. Maybe when faced with stress our Endocrine system is seeing low cortisol metabolites and increasing our cortisol levels higher to try to correct the problem resulting in cortisol levels that are too high which has a negative impact on the cortisol receptors and maybe prog levels and or prog receptors in some complicated way.

Ahhhhhhh man I miss those. Leaving the gym after leg day feeling like you could tear down the world. Love to feel that again.

haha yea that's exactly what I am taking about. The "RU Surges" felt like that and it's extremely noticeable when i just randomly out of no where hits you. The interesting thing is that during my second cycle, third cycle, fourth cycle and fifth I did not feel these sensations while on it. The last one I did the fourth time I tried 50mg for 3 days I felt that a little but nothing like the first time. Seeing that I did not have the almost recovered experience during any of my other cycles other than the first I can deff connect what ever I was feeling while on it to when I almost recovered

I know using this stuff still has potential

Jinstewart,

How are you doing?

I got my 13g of RU today....

I am going to take things slow. I am going to try to have this tested. Not sure how but if it's possible I am going to figure it out. I am also going to get a hair test and try to get an endo to order my blood work through my insurance

Assuming my theory about cortisol levels have an influence on the outcome I am trying to think through if it's best to have low or high cortisol levels going in and if its best to ensure that my cortisol levels are high or low coming out of it

Do you have any new updates with your post labs?

What kind on capsules did you use to put the RU in?

Hi there! I'm ok thanks, but I think to be honest this hasn't done the trick and I'm sliding back to how I was. Sleep was the first thing to go back to shit and the rest is following.

However, I have a little more energy and my joints don't hurt or click like they did, which is good.

Post-cycle bloods were damaged in the post, refunded, and took the replacement ones today. Should be two weeks and we'll have them in.

For the caps I got something called "Pharmaceutical Grade Empty Vegetarian (Pullulan) Clear Capsules" - filled a few up on little jeweller's scales to 200mg and then got practiced enough to get them within a few mg each time. Took an afternoon though.

Maybe try ella this time around? Still curious to see DHT levels but it may be too late at this point since it has been so long

Was debating it for sure. Any thoughts on dosing it and for how long?

It'll take a few weeks to get here if I buy it at the weekend, so I'll run my SJW and Inositol for a little bit beforehand.
