I'm a little hesitant to draw any conclusions from the Ella trial on the PSSD forum. The guy had been taking quite a few other supplements around the same time. Tubzy tried Ella for a bit before he purchased RU and it didn't really do anything for him.

I'd say it's definitely worth experimenting with though.

wich supplements are you talking about?
I didnt read anything about it..

He took 18g of Inositol for a week before using Ella.

That's is a ton of inositol! Did he get any improvements with this alone?

What if taking high dose progesterone like 20mg plus is the best route while taking ru? If ru antagonizes receptors only in the presence of prog then maybe we need to supply prog? Seems counter productive, but it would guarantee that it will only make receptors more sensitive as opposed to also slightly activating them! No?

Just an idea.

He didnt report anything, it seems that he took the inositol for a week and them jumped straight to Ella.
Could have been the Inositol, the Ella, both...

One of the guys who recovered from pssd using Inositol only snapped back after the stoppage. So, who knows =/

I dont know if you already read it, but take a look at his logs: https://pssdlab.wordpress.com/pharmd-inositol/

Now that is astounding!
I'm gunna start mega dosing this stuff myself for a few weeks to help with dopamine corrections. Prolactin seems to be a big problem for me so I'm sure my dopamine receptors could just be trash, hindering my progress from ru or something. After all I did fry my dopamine system by taking absurdly high doses of phenibut over a year ago

Very interesting idea. Lets not forget this. Would like to see GBold's thoughts on this.

Great to see the posting activity going back up! How sure are you guys this is high prolactin and not high progrsterone?

Could be from prog but symptoms go away with metergoline so it's def prolactin related, but without bloods who's to say both may be affecting us

I am curious if a 3 day ru 486 cycle at 50 mg per day is the best idea? Let’s keep this thread going guys.

absolutely. We are deff not done experimenting with this. So maybe short 3 day cycles is the way to go ? or longer cycles while taking something to control prolactin during the cycle or right after it?

or

maybe waiting three days on the RU cycle than adding in something to control prolactin on day 3?...

I agree 5 alpha. Are you currently taking ru 486?

we are still trying this out. no one knows how these substances act exactly. We know what we want from them.

Basically RU effects progesterone same as ulipristal, but ru blocks cortisol which increases dopamine to adrenaline conversions, I guess. in some caser this will cause prolactin to rise.

We need to figure out, if Ella will work on its own and cortisol upgregulation wont be needed
I am not sure about that.

All we know that Ihatefin took this for 3 days and then went off, and started to get improvements that lasted further same as this other guy who took Ella.

So I think may be RU blocks cortisol so much that it wont release it for while. And this causes too much adrenaline converions and causes prolactin to rise.

In this case I would assume it will take time and it will snap back.

If this is the case, I would think to have different cycles on a low dose like 25 mg for like 3 days, wait for the snap back and only then run another cycle..could it make sense?

hmm after hearing all the latest news I'm wondering the same thing...im also taken into considering the 3 guys that got cured/got great improvements from lightattheend's thread/protocol from PH in 2013. Lights protocol was two week progesterone cycles. following Gbold logic lightattheend got cured from prog cycles because the Prog cycles down regulated his upregulated prog receptors.

point being light reported feeling shitter than usually on the prog cycles with a snap back after each one.

so maybe we need to do the same thing. several cycles but perhaps giving the half life and strength of RU and because we are doing the exact opposite of what lightattheend did by blocking prog receptors opposed to giving them Prog shorter cycles are required

No. It's one or the other. It's ru or progesterone as the protocols.

The whole idea of ru is to make you sensitive to progesterone. If you take progesterone whilst you are taking ru, you do not get sensitive to it.

We need to keep this simple and stop over complicating it. We also need patience. He said it will be weeks for the snap back. We have trusted gbolduev, so let's give it a few weeks minimum before we judge the effectiveness of ru and especially before we start trying to alter protocols.

No. See my post above. Gbolduev will confirm this. Ru is to make progesterone sensitive and this cannot happen if you take progesterone with it.

not yet. I have it ready to go but I'm waiting on getting my labs first to make this as scientific as possible. Also with all this latest feed back i figure waiting a few more days will work out good just in case people agree I should alter my cycle to take into account some of the things being discussed.

for the sake of us getting as much out of this possible it may even be a good idea for me and or sunjeep to change things up a little so we can compare our results with the current info we have

5 alpha, post the link so we can check it out.

 http://www.propeciahelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7026&hilit=lightattheend

so like most threads it's kinda hard to follow and it's 50 pages long lol...I read the whole thing twice. my main take away is lights 2 week prog cycles helped 3 people I believe? and hurt at least 2 people.

actually reading this thread is what made me take a closer look at Gbold s conclusions. Because the whole "case 1" vs "case 2" could explain why some guys got so much better from the prog cycles while some got so much worse...

No. See my post above. Gbolduev will confirm this. Ru is to make progesterone sensitive and this cannot happen if you take progesterone with it.

Well actually that's not true, my friend. Gboldev has stated "ru will work based on. Progesterone levels both agonizing or antagonizing the receptor depending on the presence of progesterone. In the presence of progesterone it antagonizes the receptor. With low prog the receptors are agonized with ru"

This means that if you take progesterone with ru it will make the drug strictly antagonize the receptors as it competes with bioidentical prog.

This is just my theory of coarse and it makes sense to me haha like how could it not lol it's a no brainer, but I need to hear it from the master mind himself as this is just my theory

I am down for anything lol...i.guess you never know. Gbold has mentioned that current prog levels are the deciding factor as to how the receptors get down regulated or upregulate in response to taking a strong progestin such as Finastride.

so maybe like here you go body have both now decide what needs to be done. it would be interesting to hear Gbold comment on this
