Yeah the low serotonine never made sense to me though. I understand how it would work post-SSRI. But low serotonin is also said to cause anxiety while most PSSD-ers have zero anxiety.
I remember how nervous i felt pre-SSRI when i had to give important presentations, now i am drinking coffee before such a meeting to stay awake.

I think SSRI effects acetylcholine/ it is acetycholine imbalance which causes problems with anxiety pre SSRI

And may be acetylcholine imbalance which causes many PSSD sides.

Yeah but i didnt have real anxiety pre-ssri. Just thinking that if post-ssri really results in low serotonin it shouldnt cause a zero-anxiety state. (although it is not unheard of in depression either)

Thats why all the focus was on dopamine in the PSSD community before, thinking serotonin somehow kept high while dopamine was low.
I am sure this theory was simplifying things, but high serotonine would explain loss of emotions and even dick numbness.

@Helen just a PSSD story i found recently and made me think we are on the right path on this forum:

"As we entered 2018, Goldstein became convinced that he had found a potential
way to fix PSSD.
I visited him, in person, for the second time at my annual checkup in May 2018 with my wife.
He told me about PSSD begin a “Perfect Storm” of negative events your body is experiencing
due to the withdrawal of SSRI drugs. Each of these issues much be treated as a separate issue
that needs to be handled by itself.
While most PSSD sufferers want to have their disease gain notoriety and be solved by a single
pill, procedure, or supplement, this is not likely to ever happen. In a perfect storm, you have all
of these elements coming together to create a massive storm with huge waves, winds, and rains.
Your body is completely overwhelmed and no longer operates the way it once did.
Emotionally and Spiritually, your numbness, or anhedonia, is handled by the use of Addyi and
CBD Oil.
Your physical body is then treated with hormones, Cialis, Ropinirole, Anastrozole, etc depending
on your particular case.
But what about sexual sensation—or numbness people have? What if even after all of this, you
can’t fully enjoy sex or feel pleasure during sexual activity? Goldstein theorizes that PSSD
sufferers that have a lack of sexual pleasure have a preexisting back issue that happened prior to
taking the SSRI drug."

But is it enough to let copper go down eventualy? I understand how several windows are not a cure, but there are people that are now "pre-srri" for years. They must've reinstalled some balance.
I am not saying this works for everyone, but from what i understand so-far trying Prami (+ serotonine antagonist if needed) could be worth to try.
If you have strong arguments against it, or even better, suggestions what to pair it with, i am all ears.

@RebelWithACause Sorry for a small detour of your topic, wont hijack it <3

No worries bro, I don't care as long as you get better, that is what this forum is for

it is a patch for the right body chemistry. they have to understand mineral balance to even be a doctor. SO instead of patching things up, they kill people's lives

Can you recommend any specific resources or text? I would like to understand this better

I notice these side effects from TEI:

- anhedonia (no pleasure in things I like normally) - for example social situations don't stimulate me. I don't like to talk to people.
- no motivation at the gym
- anxiety
- cold body and hands and dryer lips (lower metabolism?) after taking the supplements
- fatigue
- weakness in the gym
- running thoughts/light OCD/light paranoia
- anger

I also don't look too healthy lol kinda pale and gaunt. I do feel calmer like my body is less "uptight". I don't wake up with anxiety/adrenaline in the morning anymore. More stable mentally.

Is this normal for first TEI cycle? I know you are not supposed to feel great on it. Just wondering what other guys experienced on it.

Will just finish this one and then get retested.

Par for the course to feel shitty the first ~2 cycles if you look at other people's logs.

this is mostly because first cycle is BS hairtest. IMO since people were on all kinds of stuff prior to hairtest , they get tested and then drop all the stuff that they were taking. and basically TEI supps are wrong for you.

This is why it take so long for people IMO. couple of cycles just to get to the normal body chemistry without supplements.

Did you manage to buy some supps abroad or just went full in with local supply? If so, how much was the damage?

Yo dudes is it normal to feel really depressed on TEI? Last week or so my mental health took a nosedive. Have not felt this depressed in years. Even in beginning PFS it was more anxiety than actual "depressed" feeling.

I don't have anxiety atm just feel very depressed and hard to snap out of it. Sleeping a lot, etc. Anti-social. Not everyday is bad but some days are pretty damn bad.

I don't feel like myself lol. Just walking around like a zombie.

Is this my body getting rid of toxic metals?

Maybe give it another couple of days and see if you feel like you can push through, otherwise maybe reduce the dose or drop the sups. I think that's what I would do if it was really bad.

Obviously the stuff is having an effect - you might get a nice snapback after stopping!

My last week on ARL (only did a month) was pretty bad too. Full blown depersonalization/derealization came back. It took a while for it to go away but I was fine (relatively speaking) after. I couldn't tell you why it happened but maybe you're going through something similar. I'd stick it out as much as you can, and don't take anything else next to TEI )

If it gets unbearable I guess you can take a break or something

-Could be chelation.
- @barbaar's advice is reasonable and apt. @tanedout as well.
-Often makes people feel bad, at first.
-Paid my dues, was enraged and having to avoid all conversations on randro and 4andro (so i just lifted and wandered off 200x). TIll post gym at least.
-Feels good now, tei, but was amazing at first. Pretty good mostly. Some faltering was due to me. It could just be waiting to adjust and also, the first round may not be great, maybe even 2 rounds for some people. However, plenty of things make people feel bad at first but better later (snapback).
-I wouldn't worry too much, unless it becomes very problematic.
- Zombie 247, zombie 1-2 hrs? @RebelWithACause?
-I feel a bit slower, but it's not super hectic... it will be later; but thats like situational..... moreso than whatever I'm taking. I feel more relaxed usually.
-I did mess up a bit with drinking, wasn't really bad but it does lower inhibitions and I don't have time to waste drinking with fools. But not a major hit at all (more guilt than anything really).
-Digestion has taken a hit. I'd say more positive than negative days by a large margin. BUT, it could have easily gone the other way. And subsequent rounds may be harder. Who knows. Just writing this I'll probably get screwed over some how.
- So you mean depressed not irritated rite? (obviously different feelings, but they kind of all blend to me... not sure). I do feel irritated/ but realistically... would at any age/ any time... unless winning constantly, even then.

-I feel like life is a bit slower and calmer. I guess that's good. I kind of want to go back downtown where I was, but I likely can make way more and spend way less here, and get into a good program here, and have someone to work with after that here, and am trying to go outside cda anyways/ so why waste time and money to move back, when i will likely move again..... tho that's true of a lot of people. --- Gotta get downtown here at least. Can't deal with seniors all the time in suburbs. SHovelling twice a day, walking uphill both ways.

-Derealization? I mean is anything really real?

Nah not irritated just feeling of depression. Anhedonia and feeling of living in dream. My vision is also bad. Could be copper elimination maybe or other metals. Or just effects from minerals

Definitely have had some vision changes. Not really sure, getting better vision or what. Maybe some astigmatism/ blurriness changes. I can survive without glasses but things are better with them. Not wearing them now but will when needed. Games, work, trading, studying I do. Class/ i'd bring them in bag (and wear them in lecture).
-Last year could barely walk downstairs or across the street without them. And yet, my prescription seems fine still. It's odd...... But Astigmatism/ blurriness is like 1/100 or 0/100 vs crash of last yr. so it's good. but i want near perfect vision in right eye and only a bit poor in left again.

I recall vision changes only on fin and lamotrigine and right after, and also after fasting (in recent year to 5 yrs)
MAYBE, subtle changes with randro and 4andro and all that... probably a bit.
I think this will go away. THis is a fucked up traumatic experience... maybe some is just that/ plus it's also almost Xmas... I don't know man, try sticking it out.
-(also vision things on effexor long ago, and possibly accutane but that was a long time ago).

If it makes work all jacked up, then I get it being unsustainable, but I'm sure you'll make it. Again, if it gets worse, a break may be in order. I am riding it out unless something crazy happens. We do have different sides, but I think realistically... probably everyone has some difference in effects.
