Im taking 50mg of zinc gluconate with 15mg manganese gluconate right now. My Hair (HTA) said 150mg of zinc daily + 75mg manganese. But I thought its a bit over the top.

zinc CARNOSINE much faster will take care of free copper.much faster

You can just add l- carnosine.. Carnosine will chelate brain and liver copper very fast.

Do you think high copper has sth to do with ulcerative colitis or my urgency? Maybe to fight the hydrogen peroxide? Thats what butyrate producing bacteria would normaly do? Or just fast copper excretion through bile?

copper creates hydrogen peroxide. since SOD is copper based. SOD creates hydrogen peroxide. and when you take copper you can get very grey if you are low on b2. potassium. Since iron wont be available to you until potassium goes up

taking copper causes severe diarrhea if taken alone in most people if there are problems with b2

try to take what I told you. carnosine should bind free copper

I feel really good on Potassium (citrate 5g).
But B2 at 150mg felt like its worsening my UC. After that and palmitic acid my flareup started.

After increasing soluble fiber (inulin) to 30g a day, my flare stopped the next day.

Thank you I will try l-carnosine & what you suggested!

You cant take b2 alone. it will lower your cortisol, you already have low cortisol . thus you need to take what I told you all together.

You have wasted tons of potassium from the cell. Potassium is regulated by cortisol and progesterone. If potassium falls from the cell, cortisol goes DOWN and thyroid is not working. You take potassium, this increases cortisol.

This cortisol requirement will increase a need for iron and b2. Taken b2 alone without iron, will cause cortisol to fall.

Take all I told you to take together.

Iron even if I am male?
My blood ferritin increased from very low to high after i started with manganese zinc.

will this have any impacts on my UC also?

This is what you get when you eat Ray Peat, I had so many people with this high copper on ray peat. People have problems with glutathione . You eat copper you increase SOD. you increase antioxidants in hypoxia. Sod's end product is hydrogen peroxide. Copper will cause SIBO. This is not good. as a slow oxidizer you need to exercise. And improve your methylation and redox.

If you this toxic in copper, you might need to take zinc carnosine for a little bit. Or zinc manganese with plenty of b2.

Slow oxidizers are low on B2. This causes high lactate. If ventilation is increased they are lucky. Some have already failed sympathetic nervous system and not able to increase the ventilation. And this causes complete potassium waste from the cell and CFS

I would take magnesium potassium ,b2, b1 zinc carnosine. manganese. and molybdenum. And may be add some methylation with thorne extra and taurine. if you are a woman could add some iron

Also do liver flushes.

The Ray Peat thing doesn't apply to HerrFisch. I made the same mistake early on. He was ketogenic for a long time before his blood tests, wasn't eating Peaty at all. He had UC way before all that as well.

I tried b2 last night alone like u told me and slept like a baby. (I had over range cortisol last time I got tested in June)

to be accurate it was only one small period of time (3-4 months) in which I tried Keto. Before that I tried to eliminate Fructose, gluten etc for some time seperately. Back when I thought my problems were due to some intolerance.

Before that it was pretty much always high carb 60-80 fat 150-200 protein. What I considered as normal.
I have only known Ray peat since July or August this year.

I will start with

Magnesium citrate 400 mg
potassium citrate 3000-4000 mg (~ 1,5g potassium)
B2 100 mg
B1 100 mg
Zinc gluconate 50mg
Manganese gluconate 12,5mg
taurine 3g
b12 hydrox. 1mg
Molybdenum 150ug ?
lcarnosine 500mg ?

Does that have any impact on my Ulcerative colitis too ?
Or only copper excretion?

I take soluble fiber now for some time and I feel really good.
At first it started with some gas.

But now I can even tolerate apples, sugar free gums (sorbitol), lactose ???. !!

Its like all I did not tolerate in the past was due to its "food" content for good bacteria?

Maybe that was a sign haha

I think gas is the problem of the bad bacteria "eating" some of the soluble fermentable fiber too.
As soon as only good bacteria are there to feed, there wont be that much gas.

Soluble fermentable fiber does feed good and bad bacteria. (But more good than bad)
Therefore this fiber will increase the bacteria ratio

Insoluble unfermentable fiber does work like a weak antibiotic and does reduce the general count of bacteria. Good and Bad !

But over time, thats how the body gets to low count bad and a high count of good bacteria to keep Inflammation down, colon barrier intact and gut in homeostasis.

Butyrate producers SCFA does increase mucus & general colon healt. ...

Today most people think about fiber only of the unfermentable ones. The ones that clean but dont feed the good.
And additionally they think of probiotics. But how should that help long term without feeding them?
Most times its not the bacteria itself that does good things. Its what the bacteria produces with food.
"Actually a comprehensive look at the research available, and the willingness to understand this phenomenon in its rightful context shows that although prebiotics may feed some ‘pathogens’ this is greatly outweighed by the rate at which they feed friendly bacteria. For example, a study conducted last year took faecal samples from healthy human volunteers, extracted the microbial content, and then analysed how these samples reacted when inulin was added (a negative control and a positive control (cellulose) were also added to separate samples)4. The results demonstrate that inulin caused the Lactobacilli and Bifidobacterium to flourish, and also caused a slight increase in Enterobacteriaceae, the family to which Klebsiella belongs."

Does anybody know what medication like azathioprine and mesalzine / sulfasalazine does in the body?
And by that I mean what they do besides for the reason you take them. (anti-inflammatory , immunosuppressive) mattyb

Azathioprine can apparently deplete niacin and zinc for example.

And by their ability to suppress the immune system (therefore metabolism), it's probably possible to go from fast oxidizer to slow.
That being said, is it really good to treat the body as it is a slow one? gbolduev

Do they interact with the microbiome?
Mesalazine reduces the total bacterial number to almost half :(

I am pro chelation, fasting, and eating well. I am not pro supplements or hormones.

For anyone sick with anything

1) fasting, juice fasting
2) zeolite or other chelators

3) my diet that I outlined

I dont want to take any medication / hormones / supplements.

But I cant just stop all medication. Im on them for over 6 years. Im nowhere near long-time remission.

My point was, UC is more like a fast metabolism but with medications you will get a low one.

UC is a slow metabolism. Which stems from inability to recycle glutathione. which causes vitamin 2 deficiency , methylation deficiency , plus copper biounavailability and toxicity at the same time. This free copper causes it.

I have UC and using copper I saw a fast improvements on UC. Is it a case or a real consecuence?

gbolduev where is your diet outlined? I cant find it anywhere.

Can you please share the brands/products of chelators u use(d)?

Is PUFA bad in sea foods(fish, kelp etc.)?

What about the tzar vodka you take? From where do u order the ingredients to make the tzar vodka? I guess the tzsar vodka helps u stay balanced A LOT, by helping u to actually digest and absorb nutrients from food.

According to russian researchers sodium thiosulphate(combined with ascorbic acid) is the best chelator, this will take EVERYTHING out of you, heavy metals, minerals, probiotics, everything :))))

Mesalazine reduces the total bacterial number to almost half :(

The drugs are not great.

Ultimately the goal is to get off of them and try out a fasting and proper re-feeding regimen. You won't fix the underlying problem of mito-fission unless you fast. What gbold said is partially correct, except slow metabolism is a feature of the disease, not the cause. It contributes to poor health and lack of recovery, but the underlying cause needs treatment. Fasting/chelation will get to that cause and then during the refeed you work on adjusting metabolism through diet.

I never ever say that speed of metabolism is the cause of any diseases. He said that he has fast metabolism. I said he has slow metabolism in UC and then I said why he has slow metabolism.
