Rosmarinic acid is also an IDO inhibitor. I used that along with couple of more inhibitors.

Soviets tested 25k substances , and found that tryptophan and histidine were the only ones which protected against radiation. Shoot.
Of course both of those are heavily deficient in an RP diet (even cysteine)...no wonder why Peat's teeth are gone, there is no way his teeth just fell out from eating wheat germ like the usual claim is. Gelatin contains like no histidine, cysteine and tryptophan.
You could have thought that Ray Peat is an agent for a radical group trying to control the population growth. But then You see him lose his teeth like that, so may be he is an honest dude, just a little wrong. He talked so much about calcium metabolism , how calcium this calcium that. And then his teeth go first. Fins who drink the milk has the highest rate of osteoporosis. So no wonder.
Radiation is crazy everywhere now. I think we do have at least 3 harmful things, acetaldehyde in the air. toxic metals from gasoline( lead, manganese mercury) and radiation. And on top of that those bastards spread us with the chemtrails LOL
Peat is super against cysteine (and tryptophan) intake, often talks about both negatively. Goes to show how basic some of his mistakes can be, he's focusing so much mental energy on thinking of strategies to inhibit ROS and minimize stress that he's completely overlooking what roles these amino acids actually have in normal physiological function.

Based on anthropological logic, we used to eat ALL the animal, so it could not have been mostly gelatine and milk... I think our actual metabolism has to do with the circumstances that made us through evolution. Life style is so important for this reason! Air water and food. What we eat, breathe and what we have on our skin, as these are the 3 doors to our blood. You see him lose his teeth like that, so may be he is an honest dude, just a little wrong. Super good question! And relation to the metabolic types?Does the zinc finger theory have any relation to alkalosis/acidosis states?

I revived a thread about histamine and copper....Didn't you also say RP diet is deficient in zinc and very high in copper since his Ray's glasses are so thick, that makes sense since histidine increases uptake of zinc to tissue (it noted that the study you posted). So if you are not taking in enough histidine you can defintely run into issues all lver the place.
Yes it says slow 4 on the tei test. arl uses a different classification system and id be a fast according to themHow has she come to that conclusion, don't the results of your Trace Minerals hair analysis say what sort of oxidiser you are?
I spoke to a second practitioner yesterday who says im definitely a slow 4.At least you got it right when you did not want to fast! Please update in your log! Why? what is the difference? We talked before - I remember - about similarities between some slows and fasts...
But he says that "As you know, tryptophan, methionine an histidine are not optimal for health." !!!
About protein digestion, and optimisation of amino-acids, if some of you read the topic on my almost raw diet, it really helps, and I have checked out a bit on the web in raw paleo circles, people drop cooking of protein food as they notice they need less.... I can confirm I noticed too.
That is just crazy to say it is so for everybody! I think he unconsciously wanted to get all the advantages of having some high copper to stimulate him!Of course he will say that, that is what RP says you think he will disagree? lol.
