They may be one in the same, but I'd really like to have the recommendation forms straight from the algorithm to be certain I'm not taking something that my practitioner feels is just generally good for ppl.

Well, I was finally able to get a hold of the ARL recommendations, and, lo and behold, it is significantly different from what my practitioner initially gave me. And she kept reiterating that she wasn't supposed to be sharing it with me. So weird...

Hm I had no idea that low 5 beta reductase will cause low/no bile flow. This is my problem since I had crazy high estradiol for years which significantly lowers 5 beta reductase = completely stopped my bile production. I need to work on this. What you guys thing that is the most effective to increase 5 beta reductase or what worked for you? There is some good info. DHT: 36 ways to increase DHT
Btw is really coconut oil strong 5-ar inhibitor? I eat like 10g a day..

That's the million dollar question lol. Few ways to do it, if even slightly, like with sorghum or asparagus. And some PFS guys are absolutely sensitive to coconut oil - I wouldn't be surprised if 10g would be enough to cause noticeable 5-ar suppression in someone who's non-PFS. I personally don't touch it and instead use an MCT oil with 0 lauric acid.

Hm and olive oil? Heh I have basically no fats in my diet except eggs and when I eat beef.. I would like to know if fat is necessary for bile production and flow? Like I can't digest fats and I have no bile flow now. So I don't know if it is better to stay away from fats or eat fats to stimulate bile production? Or 3 eggs a day are enough? @gbolduev ?

I've had real issues with bile flow on and off. Things that help is TUDCA (which also makes me sweat again), UDCA (which is a bit less effective), tribulus - very bitter and seems extremely effective at stimulating bile flow, and radishes.

Interesting after stopping UDCA recently I've been having issues which appear to be down to Sibo, and no surprise to read that bile keeps bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine in check, so poor bile flow can cause Sibo

10 reasons why people with SIBO should care about bile

I also have low hydrochloric acid in my stomach. It is the first step of digestion and stimulates all the other digestive steps - pepsin, enzymes, bile.. Also without hcl in the stomach the food is not sterilized so all kinds of bacteria, parasites can go in.. I will try bile acid factors from Jarrow again. Have capsules like for 14 days.. Will see how it works in combo with hydrochloric acid.. Heh I have a dream. That I will be able to poop easily without red face. Without effort nice brown sausage like stools.. :D

In order to raise metabolism body needs to make glutathione and MT. and recycle them. This is the problem with low bile, low 2 phase liver detox. etc. to recycle glutathione you need NADPH and FADH. that is why I always take vitamin b1 b2 and b3. YOU can take vitamin b1 very low like 2-5 mg a day and see how you feel. I bet you will feel much better just on that.
You need to read the protocol. It is all there. Nothing will be achieved by pounding HCL. HCL betaine is much better since it raised glutathione IMO

I am taking thiamine hcl like 50-100mg a day, 10mg of riboflavin, 25mg b6, but I don't have any B3 now. Should I take B3 as well? Maybe I should try take more B1.. It is so messy with B vitamins lol..

So, re: Digestive Enzymes -- are the best Wobenzyme (super expensive). I tried something called Biozyme (has pig pancreas enzymes, contains lactose).
What about full-spectrum plant enzymes? Are they only good for a plant based diet? Can I just get 1 or 2 good/decent brands?
Can I run them 2-3- even much longer months in a row?

Guys what type of vitamin B3 you think is the best. Nicotinic acid which causes flush or non flush vit B3? I can buy here inositol hexanicotinate. It is ok form or problematic and is better niacinamide? But I would imagine that nicotinic acid will be good for detoxing..

I've used both wob and bio-zyme. I prefer the latter.

My question in all of this is how long is it okay to use this protocol and all the enzymes and HCL? At what point should you stop?

As you get older. You produce less and less hydrochloric acid and enzymes as well. Also the more stressed you are the less hydrochloric acid is produced. Betaine hcl or hydrochloirc acid should be used if it's clear that you don't produce enough acid. You can do bakin soda burping test/ betain capsule test. But even without the tests you will know when you have to much stomach acid. So you can reduce the dose or latter even stop. But you can get stressed/older and take more betaine or hydrochloric acid again. With enzymes. If I had the money. I would take good quality enzymes all the time. Rotating different enzymes. It can only help. In terms of minerals/ vitamins etc.. You need them all the time. It is not like regain health and started eating junk food. Same applies for detox for example. It is not about some crazy 1 weak detox and than say fuck it. It is about living life style which will support detoxification of the body all the time..

progesterone was suggested in my orignal 10 protocols. I said RU or progesterone. levonorgestrel is just progesterone

I simplified protocols and said to try either RU or progesterone. And people without trying them go on zinc fingers etc.
After reading some old posts:
Isnt levonorgestrel a progestin, and is blocking progesterone at the receptor? Some say that progesterone levels are high because the receptor density is low(insensitive), blocking it for some time would then increase density potentially. (And likely you will feel worse while taking it?) RU and ella only block it partially from my understanding. Any thoughts?

Is anyone actually reporting dramatic improvements from the hcl + electrolyte protocol?
