@tanedout I read some of the links you posted. Cool.

some guy took 5 mg of fin a day which is a huge dose for 5 months)). then came off and felt better.

this would never cure a PFS person.

You mean it's just a patch?

this means, we need to carefully watch different people. since accutane or SSRI , could be completely different from PFS

And also we have cases in PFS where people react to different supplements different way.

I would assume slow and fast oxidizer would react diff to FIN or accutane or SSRI.

And people all mix together. and accutane is PFS now, and pfs is accutane now , and SSRI are PFS

in PSSD for instance people feel zero anxiety. Which is completely opposite of PFS.

but even in PFS, we have people who feel good on alco, and people are intolerant to alco

So those are also different cases

So what I think is happening is that depending on oxidation rate. FIN affects either gaba receptor , or AR.

in some people fin does NOTHING To AR. why would it/ lets say if fast oxidizer has low DHT as it is.

So lowering it even more a little with fin , DOES NOTHING

but affecting GABA with fin does A LOT or affecting estrogen,

I think these are the MAJOR differences in people.

@tanedout Also if ARs were downregulated as you said in the 2 posts above, he would not feel like total crap everysingle time his DHT goes up

but he feels better when he lowers DHT. and bad when it goes back up.

So he failed to find small enough dosage of fin to keep DHT a little down all the time.

instead he takes fin every 2 weeks, when DHT creeps up

In a way it's like the hair of the dog principle with booze.. basically we're all "permanently" hungover.. take a hair of booze from the dog that bit you and it makes the body come back to homeostasis.. crude analogy.

What scares the shit out of me is this would mean I would need to take dut again if i wanted to experiment..
I didn't have any issues with fin.. but dut absolutely destroyed me.. looking at old pics, even in the very beginning of starting my facial fat melted, eyes sunken in.. this was long before (2 years) the sexual sides hit.. like @MNK99 says.. ballsy as fuck..

why did it take so long to fully crash? Mine has been like a ssslow moving train wreck

Also guys, this guys is taking peanut butter. Peanut butter is very high in tyramine and histamine.

Histamine will give you sex drive same as tyramine

this might be why he took fin and it did nothing for months. and all over sudden he feels something
I mean...... I eat a shit ton of peanut butter.....I still feel asexual at times. I would be surprised if it were that easy

Because you took dutasteride which has a long half life.

In the end it does not matter why it took long. We cannot see what exactly happened in the body. No matter how much theory/hypothesis we throw at it.

I think TEI is a good approach. So is cdsnuts. It is also good that there are guys like PFStinks and other people doing a different route. To see which approach works best in the end. I think patience is key and not let the mind go crazy every time there is a glimmer of light.

TEI needs more time to see if it works. I would say at least 6 months on the program. No one with PFS did TEI full 6 months yet except Goose who has a different problem (Post Saw Palmetto). Goose who has done cdsnuts and other protocols is seeing a good amount of benefit on TEI.

If this cured PFStinks which we will know in the next months then other people can try that.

Most cured people who are off all supplements have been from cdsnuts and other LONG TERM protocols (Chi for example). There have been guys who got better within a few weeks of finding the cure for their body but most people have had a long term strategy/approach to it.

I have been coming here for a year now. This is one theory though that keeps coming back around. This is completely not based in fact, but it seems like in the back of our minds, something feels right about it, but we are scared shitless to try it because of what we’ve gone through. Could this be the reason it works, and sticks?: when we take it low dose (it has a flat response curve) spaced over two weeks, over time, wouldn’t it allow the AR to gradually become exposed to higher and higher DHt levels, thereby adapting to them? Over time, they would not be overwhelmed by the DHT dump, and at some point it will stick when they are used to the increased amount. Like @PFStinks did, over time his AR’s had time to adjust to the increase in DHT, and eventually stuck. I don’t know why, but it makes a ton of sense to my pea sized brain.

It makes sense to me as well.
But do you have balls big enough to put your gun at your head and pull the trigger?
If yes, go ahead, maybe you are the lucky one.

Also, could this be an issue? Just spit balling: So, we all have different ranges of “normal” for testosterone in our bodies, right? So, someone my have a test level of 4-500, but that may be where their body’s normal level sits at.... someone else 8-900 but both of them could be living in their “normal range. Now, maybe our DHT levels are the same. Maybe one naturally has lower and one naturally higher, but when we take fin, no matter where we are on that scale it still brings our DHt levels down. So the person with super high DHT just drops to high DHT etc. but the reaction to the drug is still the same, no? No matter where we fall on the scale, when we quit fin, the AR’s are bombarded by a level of DHT higher than that they have become accustomed to, and they get overwhelmed. So is it possible we are all suffering from the same response, not multiple different cases?

Hahaha. Well, it wouldn’t be that hard for us to find out, right? I mean, in one month, we would only need to take 2 small doses. Could that really do more damage? Lol. I don’t know. Should be enough to see if it does something. Come on @wuf !!!!!

i think dut makes estrogen insensitive may be.

you can try estro and see if you feel good on it. then you know what you problem is.

We are not all the same, I just talked to Melcangi by phone 30 minutes ago, he also claimed it is not easy to find a specific cure since we are all different, well he said we have different groups of people.

@hairsuit

FYI, many people went back on fin on propecia help forum and tried tapering off. Some crashed like you read about from doing that.

I did not read any who got cured from going back to fin, or even getting better.

I am still trying to find these people who got better

Guys who are better are still taking Finasteride it seems. or have some other imbalance like accutane, or SSRI. etc

you need to understand that fin inhibits DHT at very very small doses.

that is why I said if someone keep taking microdoses , that someone will have constant tiny binding to NADPH<

and this works as a stilt for PFS.

like 0.02 pill of FIN , would probably inhibit DHT as much as 5mg pill

So it is very very hard to find a dosage which will inhibit DHT just right.

this is the problem with FIN in the first place.

if people took it in tiny amounts in the first place, they probably would not have problems at all while on it

as I said, I had high DHT, very high , and my sex drive was meh,

but when I went on FIN, my sex drive my muscles, EVERYTHING Was better, Times over. since fin lowered DHT

and this increased test and estro action

I think pre doing nothing 5 or so months, this could have helped me... BUT when I snapped out of it a tiny amount... and fasted and all that stuff, then it was too late. BUT maybe shortly after crashing, to ensure "crash" is not prolonged, it can be done.... for some. Seems scary. BUT definitely better than suicidal ideation 5-20months straight.
Probably...usually.

Eh. I actually think that after you fasted and primed your body for it, this would’ve worked better for you.
