So I've had some yellowing of the skin throughout PFS, especially noticeable on my hands, feet, and creases (like armpit), and I recently noticed last night, after having one glass of wine, the soles of my feet were itchy as I was trying to fall asleep. I looked it up and read this is also a sign of liver troubles...

I already take tudca for my liver, but is there anything else I could be doing to mitigate these liver issues? I'm not able to do liver flushes at the moment.

Read somewhere that TUDCA and alcohol should not be mixed.

--Uranium's fine rite?? --micro amts below range of a few metals; has to be water or metal pipes. --super clean water here but not super perfect... or left over from before.

--Sunday at 6:27 PM-Not high in any toxic metal (thankfully), like the range is ... up to .0170... mine was 0.0019 or 11.18% of the high end of the reference range. Basically fine... but not perfect. - (image attached). Probably water indeed.

Do you have high uranium on hair test? I can't imagine it coming from anything other than water.

Some blood work I had done a few weeks ago, if anyone's interested. Not a complete picture, just need to make a case for getting the rest tested:

Niles, did TEI recommended lots of dairy, and are you consuming it?
They did, but I don't do so well with dairy. They likely recommend it for dietary calcium, so I instead just try to consume high calcium veggies and use almond milk fortified with calcium for my smoothies (40% DV in every serving).

Same experience, good idea the almond milk. There is also a decent amount of potassium in dairy, maybe need to up potassium foods as well.
Banana is a well known source of potassium. Problem is the sugar on it. Its also delicious!

TEI recommended me 33/33/33 kcal ratio's for carbs/fats/proteins.
Really? I don't know how tei works. And do they tell you the sources of fat and carvs? Or doesn't meter if its sugar, fructose, polysaturated fat etc?
What is your kcal intake per day? Because percentage I can't guess ( everyone eats different amount ). My intake goes around 2000 kcal with 150-180g protein, 140g carbs and 60-70 fat. I weight 68 kg. What about you guys?

--I need to modify it a bit but usually ate kind of like how you are @Pedro melo except more protein more fat (or 60 30 10) or 40 30 30 (carbs least) in normal times.
-- I believe TEI said eat moderate carbs but not too many, concentrate on protein, reduce certain fats... close to what I was eating but more seafood, never avocado oil (I knewit was bad, had it like 5 times this yr only), and a lot of other things. --They do give pretty detaied instructions, but I am choosing 4-8 foods to concentrate on, and
-Lot of it is common sense (eating clean). --Main difference for me is 2 meals or 3... I have 2 and a snack lately but it could very well be 2 meals soon.I'd follow what they say tho. You eat like me but I weigh like 27kg+ more. Usually... and now like 30 or more. --195lb but should be 187 188 and keep all muscle, some is water and fat.
-OR I need to bulk up, then cut or something... but I don't usually do that, I did 3 yrs ago, 4 yrs ago, 5 yrs ago... but I don't think I need to anymore "to fill out frame".
-Not sure, recomping... continuously. Lose 7lb of fat, I'd be shredded.
Hum more seafood? Se havê good seafood in Portugal bit its extepensive and hard to cook. I'm 68 kg with 12℅ body fat its not too much. But I wanted to loose more fat in order to don't let estradiol to raise... How many meals you have per day?

Finally putting on some weight. My biggest change has just been increasing my fat intake, since I still don't tolerate carbs well. I seem to be tolerating the increased fat intake just fine so far.

My new favorite fat bowl:

1 tin of sardines (in spring water, no added salt)
1/2 of an avocado (diced)
1-2 tbsp olive oil (cold-pressed extra virgin)
2 hard-boiled eggs (diced)
Broccoli + Cauliflower (steamed and "crumbled")
Hot sauce

Stir, stir, stir, then eat. Delicious, filling, and stupid easy - I eat like 2 bowls a day.

I've gained like 5 pounds in the past 3ish weeks just by adding these fat bowls and snacking on baked pork rinds.

Last night I got back from a 5-day mini vacation in the Catskills with my gf and family, and it sure did put things in perspective. I brought my TEI supps with me and managed to eat paleo most of the time, but I took a break from my lifestyle routine (cold showers, yoga, breathing exercises, etc). Even though I felt fatigued midday on most of the days, I had an amazing time and largely forgot about PFS while I was there. I felt happy, was cracking jokes with my family, being my old playful self, and it just reminded me that even with these health issues I can thrive and really enjoy life. I'm obviously still going to keep up with recovery, and I know I will get there, but I'm now more committed to getting out and living the life I'm meant to live while I'm young - no need to wait until I'm 100%. I rested at home for most of today after I got back, and I started feeling more symptoms again (headache, anhedonia, fatigue, etc), and this just highlights the importance of staying active, being social, and putting yourself out there for overall health. Feeling optimistic.

Gained another 3-5lbs in the past two weeks! I'm officially at my highest weight in a year, and it's largely due to consuming more healthy fats and finding a nice balance in my exercise schedule. I know for a lot of PFS guys excess body fat is an issue, but my case has been the exact opposite - so even though maybe half of the 10lbs I've gained is fat, I look a lot better than I did before (looked gaunt in a t-shirt). My upswings have been great and my downswings much more manageable, so really the toughest thing for me right now is not taking it all for granted and letting my motivation slip. My mind is happy to forget how shitty I felt at my lowest points, but I really need to keep those worst days in mind so that I can remember how far I've come and stay the course.

Haven't been coming to the forum as much recently since I've been doing pretty well these past couple months, but wanted to provide a brief update:

PFS isn't much of a limiting factor in my life at the moment; even though I'm far from cured, I've had the energy to do most anything I want, haven't had horrendous downswings, have been able to have unassisted sex twice a week, can tolerate carbs much better, only have very limited brain fog at times, and am feeling confident and optimistic. TEI and CONSISTENCY with diet and lifestyle has been key to my gains as I continue to improve. I truly believe that this is the way out, and my goal to reach 100% by the time I hit 30 (27 now) seems more attainable every day. Looking forward to seeing friends and family for the holidays and feeling mostly like my old self, and even better in some areas. Happy Thanksgiving! Life is good :)

Good man. Good to hear. Enjoy.

Are you on TEI now?
